    Hi all!!

Ive also put this on Wheel Whores too!!

Ive just had my 14x9J Jap rims mostly referbed and painted and am now at the rubber stage!! (bit of a secret at the moment untill fitted correctly :D)

They had 185/60/14 Firestones on it before and looked great and didnt look "dangerious-ish"..............

    046.

    045.

Today I had the same size pirelli P6000s fitted and the stretch looks massive and my tyre guy wasnt happy with them and said it wouldnt stay on the rim (and he knows stretched tyres!!)????

As you can see i cant go much wider as they are already wide on the car (i am doing some arch mods but didnt want to go over the top).

I ve seen 195/40/14 and 195/45/14 as well as the 185/60/14 i tried but can anyone advice me the best tyre for the best size on these rims please, but on a bit of a budget!!??

I should be back down the tyre place tomorrow so this advice could help lots!!

They are not going to be for drifting but more for show and Summer driving on my Boso-ish Corolla :p

    Cheers 8)

The Boso Cars in Japan often use High Profile rubber and if its any lower they will be even more stretched!!

I want it safe enough for daily use

    I was thinking of trying a 195/45 ??

look at the tyre stretch thing. Lower profile would look better as it will be less eggish.

185/40/14 will deffo go on. Different makes and models stretch differently.

Iv drifted on 195/45's on ten j. They didnt come of. Its plenty safe mate, people have ran more aggressive stretch then that.

have you still not lowered that thing?!!! you're making jesus cry.

and ditto what everyone is saying. those tyres are massive and look silly on the dinky corolla. you can go a lot lower profile than that. you have been told. now do it.

    :D

    go on!

Ive gone with the 185/60/14 as thats what I had on the rims for the trial fit and i was happy with the look!

The main reason i havent lowered it yet is because i wanted to get it looking right with the "new" rims! Ok its taken me a while to get these sorted and do what I wanted with but the rims are now done and we should be seeing some progress very shortly!!

    Cheers all

they will look fine if you roll the arches to remove that straight edge. i ran those rims with 185 60 for ages, they never popped off the bead.

come on then, front view please.

    I second the motion.

If you fit a wider but low profile tyre the stretch can be similar. A 195/45 or even 205/40 would look better on there than a 185/60 all day long imo.
Is there any pics in the stretch gallery on wheel whores?
