got bored today and my rota's have picked up a few chips and scratches so this happened this is the stage where i thought black was gonna be too boring missed a stage and didn't take pics of the third colour but you get the idea after they were lacquered, thought i'd go satin for a change tried to paint as randomly as possible so they weren't all the same
slow progress but it's getting there now grabbed my sparco seat back out the 13.5 and refitted it dug out a set of 5mm spacers and fitted the GTR's changed a couple of breather hoses that were kinked fitted my D1 spec oil catch tank i bought some nice stainless bonnet pins today so gotta fit them tomorrow then it's off to RS Fabrications to have my old custom 3" stainless exhaust fitted for more ground clearance, just needs the downpipe tweaking as it was on a CA before, then next week it's being aligned just paint after that
spent a nerve wrecking afternoon drilling big holes in 500 quids worth of carbon bonnet to fit my bonnet pins they're slightly different style to the normal ones so had to drill 2 holes then open them right out with a cone cutter good news is my part is done so away it goes for the exhaust to be fitted now
BIG thanks to shane at RS Fabrications, my custom 3" stainless exhaust system off my old red S13 is now on, a section of the downpipe had to be cut out, the flange spun round then a new bend welded in , top job as always and ready for alignment tomorrow
update massive thanks to alistair at unit 18 automotive the car is one step closer being finished, the slave cylinder was leaking pretty badly so i bought one from stuy mac on here along with a DW clutch hose which has been fitted and the cars also had an oil change with silkolene pro S oh and alistair also changed how it's sat a bit aswell..... so the only things left to do are paint the FRP, fit the clear front indicators i won on ebay and buy some harnesses
