small bit of a update peoples, dropped the engine and box in yesterday, its neary sitting 100% just a few small tweeks and ill be happy eres a few pics also a gearbox mount am working on am happy enough wit were the shifter is positioned a gud bit further back tan orginal but it will be fine tats all for now folks gonna start working on putting all the bits back together and sorting the roll cage out,
its regestered all rit,but its just purely a drift track car for the last 2 yearsya never no ya might get away wit slappin the plates back on haha
looking well lad..what power are you hoping to get out of her?? standard power wud be plenty with a car that light!! especially with all the fiberglass panels. keep up the good work.
cheers man, well was gonna go for round the 350bhp mark but might just try it with 1bar boost, uprated, manifold, downpipe etc.. few small mods just to see how it goesya its defo gonna be really light even the light weight fiberglass doors are gone on a diet haha
havnt done a lot with the car lately, work is very slack so funds are on a go slow at the mo,but just a small update, car is now starting, and seems to be running fine ecu isnt showing up any fault codes either so its all gud fitted and hav sprayed the roll cage its nearly 100% finished just hav to fit x bars for the fiberglass doors being fitted most of the main wiring is finished, bar gauges lights etc,but the main parts are done, fitted my new switch panel with push button start, also have moved the battery to behind the passenger seat, just made a simple steel tray for it ,it does the job fitted the thrust oil cooler along with the relocation kit, will be handy change the filter anyway fitted the oil catch tank as well just hav to plum it in waitin on pipein just put the bonnet on to see how it fitted with the sr being higher than the 4age,the vent in the bonnet goes down at a fair angle, its catchin the rocker cover ,so hav two options can take a small bit off the vent or raise the shit out of the bonnet ha also working on the lock sutiation, have the battle version 2 lock kit fitted also ps knuckles and s13 wishbones so should make for a intresting amount of lock started work on the litace axle tir i had to ,converting it to discs brakes and going weldin the diff, hopefully it will do till i can afford the vannette axle . next jod weld the biatch
cheers man, lock will be reduced when it sitts down on its wheels but not by an awful lot,my main prob might be the steering getting stuck on lock well just hav to wait and see
well man,i dont no all depends on the funds right now its not lookin good but am gonna do my best to hav her ready
Just run less caster, youve got alot there in that pic, back it off to about +2.5 deg and it'll rarely go over centre/lock out.
