I know that we're all a bit strapped for cash at the moment and servicing the cars is not exactly profitable unless you're being paid to do it... but fear not..... ASDA HAVE ANSWERED OUR PRAYERS!!!! ...with this mighty find product... I actually nearly fell over when seeing it! I mean as if anyone actually ever would!!
Well yeah, normal people who don't care about their car probably will. BTW this is most of the population, contrary to what living on internet forums would suggest.
Loads of idiots will buy it, we get people in at work with band new audis that wont spend £11 on a litre of oil for the 30k car, you can show them the oil they need and then they'll go and pick up a bottle od 10/40 cus its £5 cheeper. Just out of curiosity was the any refrance list to show you what oil is right for you car (like they have at Halfords).
i'd use it, never had a car fail down to quality of oil. Remember its all from the same refinery, asda wouldnt be selling it for that price if it they opened their own special green and white refinery. If its clear and slippy, its better for your car than if its black and snotty!
Nope, none at all. Just the different grades and black bottles for derv's I wans't even looking for anything car related... I was on the hunt for cherry bakewells (found 'em too )
I would in the astra... It will just be some one else's oil in a cheap bottle with no fancy artwork or marketing to pay for...
Asda is for normal cars, Tesco sells race grade, specially for M3's ect, maybe sanisburys sell motorsport grade for turbo cars ?
For anything that's not having the knackers driven off it I doubt it makes any difference what brand of oil you use. I put the used oil from my fun car into my daily...
i used it in my old e30, cambelt died shortly after. and my mate put it in his mini and his flywheel shit it self the same day. its just a coincidence i know but i think the stuff is tainted
i had that too 9 quid for me as i have discount i actually work at asda on the checkouts and i haven't ever seen anyone buy that shit
If the SAE numbers are right then the oil is fine for 99% of people's use. Revving the nuts off of the engine before it's had time to warm up is worse for the engine than a gallon of asda oil imo.
I use the cheap Morrison's stuff in my daily, 50K later and it's still going strong. Oil and filter costs just under a tenner
