Been doing some painting the car even though i masked of the area ive got a patch that has some overspray/paint where i dont want it, whats the best way/product to remove this?
try using a little bit of brake cleaner and a clean polishing cloth, or you can go and buy a CLAY BLOCK costs a bit more but they are pretty good, pretty much what they where designed for. i sprayed my car not long ago and had plenty of overspray on the windows and seals and the brake cleaner did the job
Don't tcut, I have tried every way possible, The cleanest an quickest is clay barring grab yourself a mguires clay bar set from halfrauds, spray the detail spray all over the area work the clay bar in your hands so its soft and rub it round an round in circles spraying more detailer to keep it lubed, wipe dry bobs grannys dog
Tcut uses chemicals to take back paint not 'bite' like G3. If it's on a painted panel use G3 compound out of them 2 options. I've never used clay barring so can't comment on that
Only use clay if you're going to polish/paint correct the whole car. Clay by it's nature has got sharp stuff in it which takes oxidisation and stuff sat on the paint off but leaves scratches behind. Not big scratches but scratches. A mate of mine just bought a 54 plate Mitsi Lancer and the paint was in a serious shit state all over. The guy had even got over spray on the doors and bonnet. The first picture is after claying but before compounding/polishing. This picture is after compound/polishing but before wax. Go to a decent car spares shop and get some Farecla G10. That'll do exactly what you want.
After seeing the jobs you did on the 180 and PS13 engine bays, you really shouldn't be allowed anywhere near paint
Lol no, did you read the replies? G3, g10 or clay bar. Don't use chemicals to take it off as it could damage the paint. Personally I'd use g3 and it will be fine unless it's a posh car then I would do all the stuff Jk posted.
G3 or g6 and a mop dont touch it with thinners if the panel is painted in any other than 2k which i doubt you know,it will come off !
