Ive wanted to build a 180sx for a while now and after my UK s13 died of the dreaded rott box virus and engine breathed pretty badly i decided there wernt a better time to do it.

It starts like this, Picked up a 96 kouki 180 shell from Adam on here, was a pretty clean shell to start with, had a bit of rust on it but soon cut that out and made sure its was rust free as possible.

This is how it was when i started:

Then stripped everything that was left in the engine bay to prep and paint it, also getting rid of any unwanted brackets:

Paint goes on and engine bay is then ready to get the engine fitted an running:

Then off to TR Racing so i can fit all the mechanicals and get it running and driving:

Then got down to stripping down the old S13 of all the good bits and part that i need for the new build:

On to the ramp goes the 180:

After loads of new bolts and everything that could be repainted to look fresh had been done and fitted the engine was then ready to be dropped in:

I know its a CA18 which many will probably dissaprove but i dont care i like they way they drive and im in the process of forging one at the moment ready for when the one in this car goes pop, my last one lasted 16mnths of hard abuse.

Whilst it was on the ramp and everything was off i thought i would clean and underseal the whole underside:

Finishing up the engine bay install and to get it running:

At this point the engine is running and car is driving as it should.

Now on to cutting and semi tubbing rear arches ready for overfenders:

    Also big thanks to:
Justin @ TR Racing for letting me use his premesis to put the car together.
Tim and Andy @ Aerokit for front and rear fenders and front bumper.
GarageD for last minute.com parts and the work they do to my drift cars.
Shaun @ SprayShack for the help with the rear arch work.
Barry for picking the car up and dropping it off everywere it needed to go.

Even BIGGER thank you to these 2 guys as without them this car would not be here now.

STEL @ Stealth Coachworks for his amazing skills with a paint gun, 07908 494646 .
Richard @ TR Racing and Japworx as he was the number 1 on this car, from fab work to electrics to mechanics.

Had a few pm's regarding a number for Stealth Coachworks so i will just put there number for everyone to have its 07908 494646 just mention the Cadbury's 180 and he will give you a better price...lol.

    Cheers Pips

Looks good man. Think bigger skirts would suit the fenders and front bumper a bit better tho.
