Ok guys this should be a pretty big event ;) We're going to be having standard knock out style battles and some other fun stuff like backwards entry contests going on throughout the day :)

Its near enough run what you brung :) As long as it has 'drift tyres' and is electric you can use it :)

Please note that there will be a designated 'soldering table' as we will be using the Village Hall's tables and they aren't too keen on us burning big holes in them :p On a similiar note LiPos must be charged in bags :)

Ok now you know what when and where post a reply to this thread saying your real name and that you want to come or message me on Facebook :)

T-drifts work fine on carpet. They get heat in them and become a little tackier.

Thats what I like to hear ;) Hope to see you guys there!

I ran my E10 on T-Drifts on carpet (on Prima GT Felt the same as what will be at this event) and they seem to be ok. the DIB on treaded T-Drfits didn't seem to like it as much though I must admit :$. I'm getting some TN219s from Mitto in the near future but my missile car will still be running T-Drifts :) I was talking to Rob and he says that most of his ovat drifters run on the Ansmann tyres and that they step out on carpet pretty well :)

yh the ansmann tyres are ok but we only drift anticlockwise and our cars are set up totally different to yr drift cars!!! we only want ours to slide around the bends then hook up down the straights with loads of traction and turn in and we're trying to knock eachother out the way to!!!!! so please dont take it that the ansman's are "the" tyre to use im sure mitto, rich and others have a much better idea than me what will work

From what i've seen the TN219s are the best for carpet but if the cars are on Ansmanns or T-Drifts they still will drift :) so don't be put off of coming because you don't want to spend £18 on a new set of tyres :) I was with some people last night who were using RC Geeks tyres, A brand i've never really had much contact with but there cars seemed to be going pretty well :)

I have a few different sets of tyres on rims so i can see whats best for me, i have an obsession with rc wheels i have best part of 15 sets. Plus i probably have one the heaviest cars by far, so i do end up with more grip than most esp on carpet.

Lookig forward to this one thats for sure, drifting on carpet does rock.
