Did you change to an uprated clutch at all?

I have an E34 TDS engine in an S13 (http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drift-cars-sale-private-sales/177462-diesel-s13.html)
I've no idea what boost I'm running (just that its higher than standard), but at the moment my clutch slips if you try to accelerate too much so was wondering if its worth getting an uprated clutch. However it could just be down to the diff putting too much strain on it (S14 diff at the moment).

Will have to give the evry mod a go though

It don't matter what diff its got in it, if the clutch slips the clutch slips, and it needs changing.

My clutch slips for a moment with the fuel right up when under really heavy load but apart from that its been fine. Black diamond do a stage 1 for £170 IIRC

The standard diff for an e34 tds is something like 2.64:1 whereas the s14 diff (iirc) is 3.62:1
Surely the strain that must be putting on the clutch could make it slip?

    Cheers

If that's correct you're putting WAY LESS strain with the S14 diff, not more.

Either way, that's not a huge issue either way, it needs a better clutch.

Whats it like on fuel? Seeing as though the boosts been upped along with the fuel, does it drink a whole lot more? Nice motor!

cheers man. It uses a lot more now when you floor it, but I can turn the fuel down and drive sensibly and it's pretty much the same as it was before. It gets slightly less MPG than a 525I

This has now been taken off the road, I've got myself an '02 omega as a daily. The TDS will be trailered up to Crail and Jumanji this year and skidded until it wont skid anymore. Means i can go harder without having to worry about getting to work on monday!

Finally got it running again, removed the rear spoiler and striped some of the car out. All I have to do now is fit my harnesses

So today was fun. First run, the car felt choked and underpowered. Second run with my friend jon driving it started to clear. Third run was in the wet, car was great, managed 3rd and was getting nice and close to the wall, plenty of smoke and manjiing quite happily. I did the odc after that. Dont know exactly what position I finished but Jeek said I was in the top 8. Surprising as the rear subframe and shock on the passenger side was fucked by this point and kept trying to flick me left, straightening my drifts. But still, I had fun. Jon went out again, me in the passenger seat, fucked it into the wall. Was sore, and stupid me forgot to disconnect the airbags lol. Anyway, pictures!
