I guess everyone has their "thing", for me I want strong legs and chest (looking good too of course). I'm not fussed about a big arms or back, where the next person might be. Angry music is a must for me if I'm training alone! I'll check out the others! Hard Rock104 is a really good radio station too BTW.
RDX Gel Weight Lifting Training Gym Grips Straps Gloves | eBay Really good thick support, and padded bits for the hands. Kinda act as a half strap for deadlifts etc too.
Same! Throws me off my stride if a shredding guitar solo or something drops off too ha Anyone's gym got 50kg plates? Mine has 2 for the leg press, they're ridiculous!!!
haha yea.. i have to stop if the song changes from one to another heaviest dumbells at mine are 44kg, could do with more as i was using these today for 1 armed bench row thing, and could have done with more
We've got 50kg bells. Can get sets of 6 out on flat press, range isn't fantastic though. Useful for rows on the bench and lunges n whatnot. 50kg plates would be nice ! Less to strip off the deadlift bar instead of 10x 20 plates, gets abit tedious !
Might have to wait till my leg has healed a bit more before trying this - currently I can't even squat with weight!
Think your right most people have something they like to train (get big) I love doing back, and have a goal of 22in natural arms (like ct fletcher lol but wanted them before he popped up) no reason why other than i want them lol I use those for wrist too (minus the tongue thing) No biggest plates are the 25's for the leg press (shit loads of them though) Though we do have 70kg dumbells, which for rows etc are cool Anyone training for anything inparticular? I kinda fancy some amatuer strongman (only for a laugh, I'm certainly not expecting to do well lol)
I use a small gym for the sole reason that it's usually just me maybe 2 more at its worst...usually. Down side is that it only has basic kit which is fine if you're using it right as it's all you need. Biggest problem is the lack of weight, I think tomorrow I'll use every weight in there for dead lifts which is only about 170-180kg. Max dumbbell is 20kg for fuck sake.
Thanks Kam, ordered a pair now look like just what I need, now got to wait till my physio sessions finish for my shoulder injury before I can hit the weights again, just cardio for now,and I HATE cardio..
we have 65kg dumbells in my gym only seen 1 man use them decline chest aswell was pretty mental 2 big men spotting him i i can only do 38.5kg dumbells on chest pretty good for my size though and ive only been training for a couple months what shakes are people on and how much is everyone eating im eating £8 a day worth of chicken (4 big breasts) with rice couple of shakes then my dinner which is normally steak or trout and salmon fillets with potato or pasta works out about 370g protein 300g carbs threw the day with 3.5l of water
I did 7 good reps of the 60s back at my strongest on flat bench, at that point was doing 55s for for pretty much 10 reps each set for 4sets on incline, even at this point I was never what id class as "big" I'm 6"4 tho and have long limbs so it's hard for me to look bigger....that's my excuse anyway Fighting to get back to my best atm
Anyone tried a no carb diet? I started last monday at 13,8 And as of this morning im 12,7 Im just testing how long it would take to get ripped n have a six pack
I've lost quite a lot of weight over the past 10 days but that's because all I've eaten is 7.5kg of crunchy nut cornflakes and nothing else. I wish I was joking.
