There wasn't anywhere local to do any ODC until now and please bear in mind this is ODC added on to our practice day so there cannot be any priorities over people not competing. If you want a place be online ready to click pay for your ticket at 8.01pm on 17th July. There will be a separate briefing for the ODC in the morning right after the normal briefing. New ODC competition format: For the 3rd August we are going to do the ODC a little differently based on a few suggestions from drivers. We will be running just the ODC competitors during the competition but time how long it takes. Once it's done the ODC competitors will take a break whilst the non-ODC drivers have the track to themselves for the same amount of time as it took for the competition. This way we should get the comp over with quicker and everyone can stop to have some lunch whilst watching the competition. good to see you took on mine and josh's idea of doing ODC at lunch, and then swapping over for non odc drivers.. :-)
So with this new set-up, do the ODC competitors not go out with the non-ODC drivers? Or is it, everyone out, only ODC, everyone excluding ODC, then everyone out to finish the day? Only ask as I wasn't impressed with the time taken up with the comp at the March event, (apologies for being a little blunt). Alex B
Lee we are always open to ideas and suggestions, now we are staying in the same area of the airfield it's got to the point where it's all fine tuning stuff to make the day flow as best as it can and track layouts now which is great. Our team of marshal's are one of the main reason the days are a success putting in the effort to help keep an event down here. Alex this is how ODC will be run: Morning practice - Both ODC & non-ODC drivers on track Lunch Break - ODC competition (ODC drivers only) Afternoon 1st practice - Non-ODC drivers only for the time it took the competition to run. Afternoon 2nd practice - Both ODC & non-ODC drivers until track closes. Judged section will be on the main course all day long.
Payment is the same for everyone, check first post. Last time it sold out quick with the new pre-pay.
Rhys I'd prefer if you were registered with odc rather than just having a go because it takes time off our practice day so only people that are actually looking to get their 4 rounds in or registered with ODC. Only 10 days until the pre pay opens for the next Dakota Drift day (including ODC round 2) 17th July at 8pm is the time and date the lines will open. You need to register with the site first then you can pay. Event Register
1 day left before event register opens. This is our next event at smeatharpe. Be keen if you want a place
