I've tried all the slow release blah blah and it never worked for me. As long as I hit around 180g a day I'm good. Don't care when I get it and in what breakdown. The gains I got from doubling my protein intake were crazy.
Yeah doubling to around 180. TBH nothing I do is really exact, I just get as much in as I can so guess it to be around that.
my day goes morning: 2scoop whey with powdered oats mixed in and a banana mid morning: rice an chicken with shake after that before lunch: 2 scoop whey lunch: rice an chicken pre gym (1hour before): 2 scoop whey with powdered oats just before gym: amino energy pre workout after gym: cnp recover shake dinner: 5 egg whites and one whole egg scrambled with chicken then for pudding bowl of cereal pre bed: casein shake with quarter scoop whey for taste and wash that all down with minimum 4 litres of water a day normally around 5L
Yeah very true you should be getting most of your proteins an nutrients from whole food not relying on shakes an as for 5 egg whites you would be far better off eating 4 whole eggs you loose around 20% protein taking the yoke out not to mention amino acids
Yeah apparently that more than 2eggs a day being bad for u is all bs. I cant remeber where i read it. Il do some research tonight as i have about 4a day at the moment and i know i shoulsnt be.
IIRC the yolk has the fats in it that help you absorb the protein from the egg white so is best to eat the whole egg ideally
ahh the old good cholesterol bad cholesterol argument. just fricking eat the lot.. back to original question myprotein are doing 10% off their summer flavours. I went for lemon cheescake (impact whey). me likey
Heart surgeon speaks out on what really causes heart disease -- Health & Wellness -- Sott.net This heart surgeon may be a bit more qualified than me to tell you about cholesterol an he thinks its bullshit
I think I've been misunderstood here. I was saying it's a good thing it has cholesterol. Cholesterol consumption has repeatedly been shown to improve cardiovascular health, as well as directly contribute to healthy hormone levels in men and women. I eat about 12 whole eggs a day and about a month ago I had to do a medical for work. My total cholesterol is 170 mg/df, HDL is 70 and my LDL was so low they couldn't get a accurate reading.
6 shakes a day seems high but I no people on more! I no people that are big lads that mix there shakes with everything cereal yoghurt etc I spend about £150 a month on powders could get cheaper shit but that's exactly what is it shit! lol the reason I do 5 egg whites and one whole egg is because ive cut my carbs down to around half what I was on so next to no carbs after 7pm and as for eating more food I have 2 20 minute breaks and I get through 1kg of chicken a day theres not a lot more I can do I can work on machinery and eat tuna etc lol and I get amino acids from my pre workout amino energy ( Optimum Nutrition 270 g Amino Energy Blue Raspberry: Amazon.co.uk: Health & Beauty ) never heard anything about to many eggs being bad ive seen good gains I started 7 months ago 9.8 stone and im now 13.6 and ive been shredding up for a month now im no expert im not saying my diet is the best but it does for me what people need to do is make there own diets routines etc every person is different and some things work for some people other things don't just take tips and mix abit of everything into what your going to do if you see gains great if not change it up. I have recently been speaking to Christian guzman natural body builder in America Christian Guzman - YouTube he is now my personal trainer i start work with him next week diet plan custom made for me and gym routine custom made so cant wait!
It's what I was taught when studying nutrition as a PT, and I've changed my diet since, and it's much better now. I happily eat naturally fatty foods, and still stay pretty lean. Minimal additives in my food, try to use organic stuff as much as possible, and just don't consume many things that produce an insulin response.
