I no i'm going to have to play with the suspecion to dial in the best handling for my driving and my car but for a western style drift with geomaster hubs

    FRONT
    camber 4'20"
    castor 7'20"
    toe 0'20" OUT

    REAR
    camber 0'30"
    toe 0'10"

I'm combining the front of your geomaster japanise style with the western style back! does my logic work or am i just being full retard?

Mittos settings i'm guessing more the charactoristics youd expect from a high power BDC or formula D car

    WESTERN STYLE DRIFT ONLY

    FRONT
    camber 3'20"
    castor 6'50"
    toe 0'05" OUT

    REAR
    camber 0'30"
    toe 0'10" IN

    RESULT

Flat grip level, consistent to drive
    More driver steering imput required
Much more grip out of corners
    Reduced aggression in car
    More power required

    Bloody norra.

    Your setup sounds good.
Don't forget driver preference is very important too.

Yours sounds better tbh, I prefer more castor and neg front camber..
0 toe and 50PSI rear if it's street. Toe in and 25PSI track.

I've read the whole thread. But i couldn't figure out exactly how compatible these alignments are with R-Chassis. I drive a R32 GTS-t and now need a complete alignment. I would like to use the "STREET / DRIFT / DAILY" alignment.

Mitto says: "THESE SETTINGS ARE BASED ON THE S14 / S15 PLATFORM. They should work with S13 variants with a touch less castor for each."

The R32 Gts-t is basicly a S13, right? So should i do a touch less castor? When yes, how much? Or not? Any information to that?

    And the second thing:

Mitto says: "Traction links are set at standard length for these settings.", so i just meassure the original length and set my new adjustable arm to this length? Or should the setting of the traction arm be part of the aligment-procedure too?

    Thanks for the help!

Mitto! I've heard you're the person to speak to about alignment :)
I've recently fitted a set of meisterR Coilovers on my 14a, wheels are 18x8.5j et30 front and 18x9.5j et35 rear, might put 5mm spacer on front just for clearance. What alignment setting would you recommend for fast road set up(which will have least wear on tyres).
    Thanks in advance. :)

    Hi All

I'm building Lexus IS300 for drifting.
Wheels i think will be 17", 215-225/45-50. Front tires R1R or some other semi slick.
    Engiene power about 450HP.

What settings of chassis alignments i should use(me first drift machine)?
What weight balance car should be to get best results in handling?

    Thanks

    Hi

Looking at your setting options mine seem way out, im just a shits n giggles drifter not looking for trophys.. but down here in Durban / South Africa the only chance we get to practice drift is pretty much just at 'Pro' comps... so I have to run between the big dogs to get any seat time which normally makes me look like a slow nana. ATM I use the car for drift events primarily but occasionally Time Attack. I currently only use the car on the street to get to each event... sometimes this means freeway driving for up to 3 hours though :/

My problem is keeping pace once drifting...

    Front
Camber Min I can set is -3.2 ( street ) but at events I set it max which is probably between -7 / 8
Toe out 1 deg ( though this seems to kill front hubs after a bit of time )
Caster 11 ( seems high looking at your numbers )
    No sway bar

    Rear
    Thicker sway bar
    neutral Toe
    -1.1 camber

    330hp + SR
    225,40x18 - stretched 9.5j fr @ 2.2 bar
    235,40x18 - stretched 10j rear @ 2.8bar ( grip level depending )
    D2 Coilovers
loose spring rate all round .. but dampened hard
    modified knuckles ( 2 turns lock/ lock )
    Modified LCA

    Got 7° '50' of caster
    4° '40' camber
    0 toe
This is with geomasters an all dw :)

My problem is that the tierod ends are hitting the lower arms at 54 degree.. any advice for more clearance? I guess less caster but i really want to try it as it is now..

Going for the first setup as its a daily buy goes pod once a month and FBS. Just put brand new HSD monopro's on. Have no idea how to adjust them or what settings to use. How would be best to set them to suit mittos first setup for daily use?

Are these 100' minutes or 60' minutes? As the camber seems to be 100 (at 2'50)
