Setting off myself now with bondor Gotta laugh at a whole thread of arguing about whose going and no one is!
I said nobody would at the start barring the usual suspects who wouldn't be recruiting randoms off a forum, and lo and behold! Have fun, it fucking ace
Me and a group of lads are going. Going to be good laugh/drive, would be good to get more involved. Meet new people and more car nuts!
Who says no ones going ? Thread went to shit, people cunting off others saying that drivings across Europe is shit or not driving on track makes you :gay: fuck knows. Facts are people will go if they want to, I'll be there regardless so if I recognise a face I'll say hello and if you ain't there well the thread content is correct. I've got money ready to go so paying for it ain't a problem, for me it's getting a group of sound people to go with money too
Stav said no one was going. And he was 100 percent correct, none of the people on this thread who said they were going went! (Check the dates this thread was started) I went. It was fucking incredible, best week of my life. Got smashed all week, drive some awesome cars and shagged a porn star. Doesn't get much better than that and will be going again this year
I was also there, basically watching J smash a porn star in his tent he bought to get the job done lol, was a good weekend, but defo cost more then expected, I think i spend around £850-£900 total, if not a little more and I was just a passenger!! lol Was a LONG trip both ways, I would defo fly unless you have an amazing car to go skid, and even then I would drive the car and not trailer it. Fact. Sadly I can't go this year which sucks.
Was wondering who kept peering through the tent zip.. Yeah was an expensive week! Probably did about a grand, worth every penny. Though I think i would drive there again as the journey back was fucking awesome fun. Especially Amsterdam!
Ahhh man would love to go but just booked Nurburgring, maybe next year! Maybe the S13 will be ready for next year
I'll be there! I'll be at all the Gatebil events this year as I am soon to be moving to live in Gothenburg which is just a couple hours drive from Rudskogen and Mantorp Park Happy days.
Going this year, roadtripping it with 4 other mates. Just trying to work out the journey, think we are going to drive to Folkstone, euro tunnel to Calais. Then drive to Frederikshavn and get the ferry to Oslo. Then drive to Rudskogen Motorpark. Is it really just buy your ticket on the gate, guess it never sells out? haha Don't want to travel 2 days to find we can't get in! Opinions on that route from people that have driven there from England before would be great please. We are definitely driving so no need to argue over that. Thanks
if your going to drive, make a week of it or you might as well just fly straight there. we stopped off in belgium at some weirdos place, got mashed in amsterdam, fucked up in hamburg, somewhere else in sweden i think and somewhere in denmark? literaly cant remember but theres loads of cool places to stop. and yep you buy tickets on the gate, no danger of selling out
Depending on where you want to camp (if you are not booking a hotel, in which case you should do that NOW as they sell out quick), you should arrive not much after noon on Thursday if you want a camping spot close to the track. If you want to stay near the aftertrack/party camp (everywhere is a party camp come to think of it) you can basically show up at the gates whenever you want, but arriving early is key to getting a nice spot to pitch the tent/camper. People show up on Wednesday or even Tuesday if they're idiots to score a nice spot and to drink with nobody but themselves for 2 days. As initial_j says, the tickets are basically infinite, unless we somehow attract 50k campers this year as that would eat up all the room, which is highly unlikely.
