I swapped this this for my impreza a while back and since then ive got stuck in and made it how I wanted it , bought it with conversion in place and then it started, so here is how I got it so got it straight to the garage fitted my 15" wheels but the tyres were huge from the 5 series so they needed to go too Having decided on a colour I pulled it into the spray bay and got prepping for all of 10mins then just cracked out the roller and had done with lol did the wheels blue with orange centres , don't ask why but it worked out nice in the end test fit on chopped springs well with the paint dry and happy with the finish to say it was a 2hours paint job tops I took it for a short run to find it drove like shit with chopped springs , so back to the garage to wait for the coilovers and then fitted them today and im really chuffed now a quick lock pic modified hubs and rack spacers so here it is today Extremely rolled arches due to et0 wheels (20mm spacers) welded my new seats in and harnesses ready for buxton and some much needed track time more pics and updates tomorrow a few little things to do/finish heres the spec so far: its a 318 with a 325 190bhp non vanos engine swap, 2.8 manifolds, forced induction, straight through exhaust, coilovers , bucket seats ,harneses , hydraulic handbrake , fully stripped , modifed chopped hubs for more lock , rack spacers, welded diff , 20mm spacers all round ,e46 bottom arms and lolly pops , e92 drop links Body wise paint was rollered on, satin bumpers and gloss black roof, getto rolled arches , bbs s wheels in baby blue with orange centres , lamex lights and i think thats it its really a budget drifter and cant wait for this years drifting to start hope you enjoy cheers tim
out of the can into a tray and wacked it on matey its synthetic paint so cant be painted over but its very durable it took three quarters of a litre to do full car , its not perfect but for a cheap drift car its perfect !
Ye but why not leave it black? It looked cool when it was black on silver bbs wheels, all it needed was different tyres and it would of looked cool. But thats only my opinion.
i disagree, i think its better grey, more personal and doesnt blend into the overpopulated crowd of bmw's. nah man, i think its cool
I didn't like it black to be honest and I really like to put my stamp on cars even if its a missile , I mean it cost me £12 to paint it and 2hours tops of my time so why the hell not
cheers man ,yeh that's what I was going for ive always done it with all my cars drift or daily I cant help it lol , the grey beats the typical silver or black
Nice one good job! Roller paint job looks well Why you change the inlet? Isn't the m50 325 inlet the one everyone looks for? Straight though exhaust is a bad idea on a NA, back pressure is created by the exhaust in NA cars. Loss in back pressure will mean a loss in power. In a turbo it adds power as the turbo creates the back pressure. I would stick a back box on if I where you.
no its got 328 exhaust manifold mate still on 325 inlet and its got a centre box now matey as it sounded like a a bag of crap but now sounds really performance , and I think levelled the revs back out and cheers its got a few runs but still looks well imo im really happy with it
stripped a spare light down today too and painted orange ready for intake pipe going on and across to the filter and generally let some more air under the bonnet ! not mint but just making do with what ive got tbh
sorry for late reply Im running 195/50/15s and they look nice imo and do the job ! et0 wheels but highly rolled arches (ghetto) - - - Updated - - - ebay mate £150 delivered brand new so happy days
no its synthetic paint dude got it from local paint solutions cost £12.95 for 2ltr its a custom grey that I picked its really easy but just obviously never expect a show car after , I was really chuffed with mine thought
