Hey thought I'd start the build thread on the car I've been working on for a few months its no way near where it should be just yet but that's because of saving £ for my new business which will be starting hopefully very soon..

But this is the page about the build so enough of the jibber jabber business talk, a bit of history about myself.

Started it out like many young lads in the U.K do, French small and hatchback, my first ride was a Peugeot 106 GTi cammed, stripped , gold, angry and ready built for me by my older brother and myself, long story short expensive insurance and 143 mph without a clue what I was doing soon shut that down, so I decided I'd have 3 quicksilvers and finally another gti this time silver, I got introduced to drifting out of pure chance I found and bought a DVD called the "Drift Bible"... a few hours later the GTi was up for sale. :)

With that sold I decided to go out and find my car to be .. it didn't take long as it was 4.5 minutes away in the neighbouring town , a mk1 Japanese import Mazda MX5 / Roadster Eunos 1993 1.6 in silver Imported in 2003 , we haggled and agreed on price a and fist bumped over the bonnet deal done. , now.. im asked why not buy a Silvia etc. but these lil buggers just have something special about them for me, any who it came with a couple goodies and not so goodies,
    Tein springs
Rs5 leno wheels (hate them still stuck with them until may)
Hardly any rot / rust (miracle)
    Full uk history
    12 months m.o.t
    6 months tax
    Halogen converted.

The plan is to keep it as my daily but I highly doubt with the rate im changing things, itll be a nice drifter not a missile hopefully something good for me to practise in eventually leading to a turbo or supercharge conversion.

a lot has changed since but im tired so this will be updated more tomorrow.

Here she is the day I got her.

The standard mounts looked a bit drab so I spiced them up a tad

Whilst I was in the spraying mood I decided to do the rear under strut brace too.

Fitted the Coilovers adjusted the heights accordingly each corner got it on the ramp and hammerited the underside, aswell as picking up a few more items.

Got it all back together and back home for a few pics, I know the wheels are disgusting but the new wheels have been ordered and will be here in may, its going to be a long wait..

But im happy with the result , its not to everyone's taste but its nicer than silver and I love the colour

Good to see you got a thread up. Keep an eye out for Buxton days, you just missed one but they'll be another. You don't have to partake if you're worried about the wall just go watch the first time or something.

I know there's probably a reason.. But why the heck would they route the intake to the exhaust side of the engine? (Scratching head) lol Nice looking rig though man!
