As above, Been considering a career change for a while now, not really sure what i want to go into though.. What do you all do to fund your drift cars?
Car repair/service and MIG + TIG welding, mostly exhaust manifolds, downpipes, full exhaust systems and intercooler piping. Having my own one man company, best decision I ever made.
Design Engineer, designing exhaust flex's, EGR components and turbo lines for OEM's such as JLR, Ford, McLaren etc Doesn't fund anywhere near enough though!!
I would love to do something car orientated, unfortunately though nothing I am able to do without extensive training pays particularly well! There's also the worry that id get 'fed up' with cars and be reluctant to work on my own. To add; I don't have an issue with the retraining, however if rather not spend time/money retraining only to discover it's not the field I want to be working in..
Currently a qualified maintenance man, with nvq's an shit. Haha.. There will always be work for me in that area I should imagine but it's my first real job, so Id like to see what else is out there!
Retail and it makes me hate my life. I'm going back to college one day a week soon though to train as a welder, I've got fuck all qualification and plus of you do decide to learn a different trade atleast you'll have more options should you ever get bored
If your still in your 20s get in to stocks and shares on one of the companies placements(You don't need a degree just show that your willing to slave away and that you can fit in. Its hard and very long work but it can really pay off 2 of friends did it 4 or 5 years ago both doing very good and hopping to retire before 40
