Hi guys, im curently swapping my R33 with a NEO and am looking for some advises for powerupgrades. Going for 450-460hp and 550-600nm. Setup: Honed block with new rings and polished head. Masterpower T3 ar.71 turbo (with upgrade internals and jacket) ACL bearings Custom twinscroll manifold Custom intake manifold 750cc injectors 044 fuelpump 60L fuelcell Nuke fuel filter Spitfire coilpacks NGK BKR7EIX plugs Cometic stealheadgasket 38mm Tial Wastegate Apexi intercooler Japspeed oilcooler Custom oil resticktors and return Performance timingbelt 3" sidepipe exaust 100mm throttlebody Megasquirt 2 ECU
T3 will run out of puff. Go for something bigger, Holset and RB25 are a proven match. And look to go for a 60mm wastegate too for better boost control. Injectors will be on the small side, go for 800cc to be safe. Would also go ARP headstuds too What clutch you running? Am guessing twin plate at this power level. And stock up on axles, or try find a GTR rear end.
Thinking about the ARP studs also Yes Seen this setup making 508hp at 1,3Bars on the GTR injectors. Using a SPEC stage 4 clutchkit.
The MS2 is fine for me, dont need alle the MS3 features, and its only 1000£ fully installed and track ready. The 100mm throttlebody is welded on the intake (wanted 80mm but can't afford to shift it)
Stock inlet would've been fine, in fact better. T3 flange turbo is fine, but T3 turbo, too small. Any car that got over about 440bhp on GTR injectors is a bullshit dyno. Even 1bhp per cc/min with 6x injectors is almost impossible and a bit risky. Wastegate is fine, deffo don't need a 60mm, a 38mm will be fine even.
The turbo i rated to 620hp's (but has got upgrade internals) and made 448hps at 1bar on my friends RB25 (see pic) so it'll do the job just fine. The injectors is my biggest concern but it has been proven before (i have seen it).
If the turbo is fine, it's fine. It's not a T3 as we know it then, just T3 flange. Some T3 flange turbos are good for 700bhp, no problem there. Believe what you like about injectors, but it's fact. Anyone can make a dyno read anything, but there's no magic with injectors.
I'm using a lightweight exedy flywheel with a exedy organic clutch and it's the easiest car I've shifted. (R34 GTT Neo with around 300bhp).
Cool, think i'll try a stock rb25 wheel slightly lightet, some people told me something about the inertia would be wrong, and i would have problems with keeping up the rpms caus i'll drop to fast, and also i would lose a lot of torque..

"They", are Danish pro drifters who knows what they are talking about, but ofc. i don't need a flywheel with Stock weight, im thinking of 7kg/15,5lb, remember my clutch is only sintermetal so that is'nt heavy at all
You don't lose torque and even with 3kg flywheels there's no rev drop problem. Maybe people drive different to me, but...

Anything else is just waisting your money. The above will give you 500hp. Which is bonkers levels of power. If you want anymore than 500 reliably then you're better of fitting pistons. The NEO engine will do more power, sure - but it's a question as to how long it lasts. Some will do 600 on a standard block no problems. Some crap out at 520. It's down to the map and the person driving/looking after the car.
You forgot a bigger fuel pump Seriously though, that list is absolutely the most cost effective way of reaching your goal.
Cost effective Yes but i dont Think there is room for that Big a turbo on the Stock manifold? Also im not sure how fast the boost would kick in?
You need a 10mm spacer to fit on a stock manifold. This is a gt3076r on an R33 rb25. As far as when/how the boost kicks in, I've quoted my mate who owns the cars thoughts: .82 rear internal gate housing. That's 362 wheel horsepower on 1bar/15psi
