So after deciding i was sick of my compact after building it for a year and doing 1 track day in it i decided to put it up for sale.

    YuUCpPP.

After seeing some people on here put a b204 from a saab into many differnt cars from 180sx's to escort mk2s i planned to use the idea of putting the engine in a rwd car. Said car being an is200 with the intentions or slamming it on a set of r33 wheels like below.

    0ZqnoBq.
    BhYQwXP.

But unfortunately no one was interested in the compact, but i do not blame them as at the end of the day....
    Its a compact:smash:

A young handsome man had contacted me and wanted to purchase my fine vehicle but needed to sell his car first. A 316i

    jq5haAi.

Unfortunately the young fellow was also struggling to sell his car and we came to an agreement and said we would do a straight swap:thumbs: a 323i compact drift car for a e36 coupe 316i road car without MOT/NCT? Seems fair

    C3EfhL6.

Well the car has a full mtech kit, full m3 interior vader seats, staggered Z3M wheels, Japanese import m44 engine (could be m42 but im not sure) because scene points, and last but not least purple LED lights in the foot wells:cool:

    i4dQIHD.
    mTttzTW.

My plans for this car are as follow:

    • Get the car through MOT/NCT
Keep full interior and get 2 bucket seats and harnesses
Sort out the ultra quiet exhaust
Stiffen up the suspension because the scraping and wheel rubbing is annoying as fuck
Do a track day or two
      Consider selling the car
      Give up on selling it
Plan to turbo the m44/m42 (really need to find out which one it is)
      Realise it costs too much
Plan to put saab engine into it
Realise i do not have the required skills such as fabrication nor the money to pay someone to do it for me
Swap the car for something worse like an mx5

But hopefully the last 4 plans dont happen and the m44/m42 gets turbo'd

    Adios

Should have kept the compact IMO. Capable cars and teach you keep the car going! But each to their own.

I seen that E36 compact up for sale on facebook was going to buy it but just didnt have enough money at the time.If you sell those vaders you will get crazy money for those ones that should fund some of the car

Thats the plan anyway. Im going to get it through NCT first and then gunna drift the it with the m44 and give it absolute death while i save up for saab b204 conversion over the summer. Hopefully have it done by the end of the summer and making 300hp:cool:

plans to keep this car on the road went out the window and them plans were replaced with Horsepower and dreams.

In other words, I'm putting a b204 from a saab into it. Hoping to make about 300whp.

    Thats all for now, aufviedersehen!

That looks like a better swap than an SR20, I can't believe how far back in the bay it looks to be sat there!

Looking forward to seeing what went into the swap.

Yeah i would highly recommend the saab b204/b234 over an sr20 no matter what car youre putting it in. For the same amount an sr would cost alone you could have a b204 engine and conversion kit for the same price and the b204/b234 can handle 500hp++ on stock internals wheras sr20s will set you back if you want more than 300hp and youll be forking out for a new engine/rebuild if it ever goes pop

As for the engine sitting so far back i hope it helps keep a decent weight distribution unlike the front heavy 6pots

I bought the kit off of james, he has/had a build on here until he gave up with the struggles of bottom ends going due to a bad sump design in his first engine and suspected oil pump failure in his 2nd engine so hes now gone down the mainstream jz route :euge:

    http://www.driftworks.com/forum/dri...s/244003-bmw-e36-compact-2-0-turbo-build.html

If theres enough interest i might redesign some of the parts and get a kit made up depending on if the sump doesnt cause oil pressure problems as i dont want to sell a kit thats unreliable/unfinished
