right, well fuck. i got an update i spose.

i bought this pile of excellence
    [IMG]

    removed all this badness
    [IMG]

    victim meets victim
    [IMG]

    shit thats ugly
    [IMG]

    somewhat stripped
    [IMG]

this was religated to shelf duties for a while
    [IMG]

when i pulled my motor i figured id have a look to see how the rebuilt engine was going. turns out not very good. glad to see my luck is same as ever.

so a 2nd rebuild by an actual race engine shop this time. tops. i love paying twice for shit (more on this later, yay me)

knocked up a basic sump baffle-figured it couldnt hurt
    [IMG]

bit of deja-vu here. also went back to stock cam pulleys as the adjustable ones were set to 0 anyway.

re-did the boot on the new car
    [IMG]

and the engine bay-same color again but this time with rainbow flake (faggot flake)

got a lovley (sarcastic af) rollcage fitted
    [IMG]

its a real gem, not a total piece of shit at all
    [IMG]

this is what happens when your cage builder is a lazy half arsed twat
    [IMG]

it would seem he just used a hoop he already had laying around. not even fucking close to fitting this shell
    [IMG]

but i digress, after this a lot of time went on because the cage put a halt to everything. plus i moved house etc. just got put on the back burner. then one day an impulse buy came along that i couldnt not buy. (also note what i can only describe as dildo holders the rollcage guy put in after the cage failed compliance because its a pile of shit)

the rears are 18x11+1. and no, they dont fit lipped gaurds. i slightly readusted them with my old friend, little blue.

fronts are 18x9.5+14(i think?) with a 20mm spacer to clear the brakes
    [IMG]

ignore the wing mounts for now
    [IMG]

im making a 2nd post up now.

then after that i just left it for a long time again. mainly because i was saving for a trip to japan. best fucking thing i have ever done. drove at autumn matsuri, nice pic of higashi
    [IMG]

traveled all over. was there for almost a month
    [IMG]

met some heroes (if you dont know who this guy is just stop reading)

i bought imai-san's old bee-r edition nardi classic. he was ballfed why i wanted this old used wheel when he sells brand one ones haha. its just not the same. made him sign it too
    [IMG]

anyway i got back to reality to find my car to tragicly find my car not finished by magic fairies. it had been sitting for a while...

figured id do something to it now. i bought a few shiney parts for it in japan. fitted these 326 power * swift springs all round. i think 36k and 28k from memory
    [IMG]

    made a new stainless exhaust
    [IMG]

    i like lobster bends
    [IMG]

i notched and reinforced the subframe for maximum clearance. also note all the solid bushes i made a while ago. whole subframe and diff is solid mounted. few dollars of stock and a fair few hours on the lathe pays off
    [IMG]

    slightly muffler free
    [IMG]

i put a v band there for when i get told my car is too loud and not allowed on the track anymore and have to have a section with a muffler in it
    [IMG]

i have also been doing knuckles for soarer/supra quite a bit. hmu if you need any
    [IMG]

couldnt think of any nice looking way to make wing mount brackets so i did this. theres a chance they will crack off but i doubt it
    [IMG]

was a bit frustrating tigging this. pedal kept jamming and pissing me right off
    [IMG]

trying to make it as least ugly as i can
    [IMG]

i dont think its too bad. i also added an origin boot lip
    [IMG]

its an origin 1750 wide wing in silver carbon, nott too much of a fan of the silver carbon. this photo also makes the stays look at a weird angle that they arent

also fitted my new nardi and a new works bell i picked up in japan
    [IMG]

and 326 power wheel nuts (wank)

    picture says it all really
    [IMG]

    top stuff
    [IMG]

prettymuch how it sits right now. im pretty motivated right now though so yeah...

the rear vortex generators i got while in japan and the side skirt blade things at the bottom are carbon and actually off a lamborghini gallardo. they wanted them removed from the car. so im like.....so can i have them orrrr?

so yeah, its a fully functioning and driving car as it sits. its getting its new GOOD rollcage put in very soon. not by the same fuckwit. so thats good i spose. after that its really only a panel and paint away from being done and thats kinda what i do so thats not hard

Just read the last couple of pages of this, seems you have a shit go of luck.

The previous "Roll-cage builder" deserves to have his eyeballs and scrotum TIG'd, to even think that that was remotely near passable was ridiculous!

Hope you get on better with the new builder though.
