I decided that having too many part built projects is a bit much so I took the opportunity to do some horsepower trading. I sold a part finished rx7 project car & bought this Nissan Gloria.
The difference is the Rx7 was a full on project & this needs a bit of tidying! Lol.

Basically it's a 3 litre factory turbo car with an auto gearbox. This model is the top of the range Gran turismo model but I'll be honest I don't know what extra spec that gives me as of yet. It does have digital speedo cluster & digital stereo/climate control.
Anyway the car was modified with a custom front end & a full kit in Japan & imported as you see it now.
It has 18" wheels, coilovers, front mount intercooler, a huge 3" exhaust & an air intake system.
It has the J style mash up of wedging as many gauges into the car as possible & the steering wheel once was a very sort after vip effort from Italy. Also all the vent surrounds & window switches have been retrimmed. It needs a serious amount of degashing but anyway here's a few pics.

As you can see it's a bit different.
Typically japan loves to steel shapes & concepts from other eras they haven't got imagination.
Today has been a wet & misersble day so I was confined to the interior of the car.
I wanted to see if I could get the TV screen in the console to work as this controls stereo & heating in the car.
So I pulled all the nasty covered trim off & set about pulling the stereo. What I found was a rats nest of harnesses & crimp locks!!
All the aftermarket gauges, boost controller, multi cd changer & evented the traffic camera detector were all wired onto the power side of the stereo.
So as I was going to relocate & bin a few of the gauges I decided to pull the dash apart & investigate.

The interior needed to be sorted so I pulled all the vinyl & faux leather off the console & removed the white trim covers off the vents & door switches etc. As I had a steering wheel spare I threw that on too.
It's getting there, I know it' going back to stock look but that's got to be better than before.

I did a quick retrim on the glove box lid & refitted it. Not the best job but so much better than before.

    Thanks guys it's a beast.
Pulled off the wheels & checked widths & offsets.
After working out offset I have these figures.
    Front wheels; 18x9 et 10.
    Rear wheels; 18x10 et -3.

After a bit of research I found out the wheels are called intensive hunks, proper jdm.

While the wheels were off I had a look at the suspension & brakes.
It looks like s14 lower arms with crap s13 brakes on gloria specific hubs. Also looks like s14 rear camber arms.
The coilovers are Bilsteins as apposed to mash ups of 300zx/s14.

Oh yeah that's great, should try a camber rear arms S14 to see, and the hicas can be of skyline model? the differential is an R200?

It is really great, you do well to tinker inside, I would have done the same I do not like the interior white it too ..,
You think how much power this engine, it looks like a VG30 mono turbo?

What is the project to do a manual conversion?

Bhp is 230 ish as far as I know.
I'm looking into the hicas buy yeah I'll probably modify a skyline kit, as for the diff from what I've read I think it is an R200.
If I keep it long enough I'll do a manual conversion.

I've been doing a bit of research on this car as it's clearly not stock as the bonnet is fibre glass.
As some of you may have notived the Jaguar esk front end I thought I'd did a bit of digging.
It turns out this is an aftermarket front end from a company in Japan called IMC. They specialised in vip japan to Europe conversions. The body kit, bonnet, Grill & headlight bezels are all made by them including the arch extensions.
Here is a standard car & a few IMC models.

Cracking motor, got a y32 Cedric myself, supposedly 255bhp from factory, if you get chance I'd like to see how that intercooler is fitted up :).

    Here you go.

No it was actually on here. It wasn't advertied very well as the spec on this car is massive.

I'll get some pics of the set up in the week for you. I have discovered it's a genuine blitz item though.

After doing a load of checks I've also found out the bodykit is a genuine vip junction produce item.
I took the car to the Bristol cars & coffee meet this morning. Amazed at how much interest the car got & question of the day,"scuze mate, what is it"?

Gave the chassis a pressure wash last week & tweeks the front ride height & softened the spring set up as the lower spring collar was wound right up into the spring.
It doesn't look like it but the front is 20mm lower than before.

I also painted the front grill. I'm going to mesh it from behind & move the horns etc. I'll probably chop off any little brackets as this car ain't going back standard at any time now.
Think I will probably black out the fmic too.
