Hey guys new to this forum. I have a s14 with a 1jz vvti I just picked up, I am trying to trouble shoot a issue I've bin having (stock motor) beside aftermarket intercooler exhaust and clutch set up. So the car idles a little high around 1200 to 1500 rpms ( no air filter on it maybe be a issue there) car revs great will idle and rev forever but as soon as you start driving it dies...so I jack the back of the car up and tried it and it didnt dir out only stayed in first gear...so has anybody had a issue like this or know what it could be

When it's in gear and you start to drive it will die.....I jacked the back of the car up and put it in first and gave it a little gas got it to about 2500rpms in first gear and it didnt die it stayed running I cant figure it out..

Just if you have one, put a hose on the MAF. It makes the flow through them more regular and less turbulent so it reads better. It will definitely have an effect, if it will fix it or not i dont know, but it will run crap without, so will make it harder to identify another problem.

You are pissing in the wind.

Get the light wired up, it's not difficult. That should point you in the right direction, even if it throws no codes up at least you know what it isn't.
