I've taken the viscous fan off my Audi S4 b5 and looking to put a fan on a switch in it's place...

Need something powerful and also thin as there's not much space to play with... Got a fair bit of space for a wide fan though so anything 12-14" should be okay...

Are there any go-to cars I might find in my local scrap yard which are known for having good fans?

I use vectra with no issues, I don't think it'll fit in your situation.
Can you run the viscous? They're definitely the best option if you can.
If not go scrappy hunting and see, most oe fans are up to scratch

Reducing rotational inertia is always a good thing... Also, viscous is fine when you screaming round at 7000 rpm but once you're idling in the pit I've found airflow isn't sufficient and always end up popping my expansion cap in the pit even though coolant temps were fine on track.

Didn't manage to get to the scrappy this weekend but will go on the hunt for a Vectra or Mondeo fan soon...

    Cheers guys!

Anything FWD with an east-west V6 are worth looking at tbh, hence why the Mondeo is such a go-to
