Wheel update today... Drifty bois are all now wrapped in rubber, ready for the first outing. {} My Rays 57CR's finally landed too. The first set of brand new legit wheels I have ever owned! Raided the warehouse after work and loaded them up, {} Unboxed, man they look great in the flesh, super light too, {} Fitment seems to be spot on, so just need to throw the tires on the weekend, {}
Seems its taken forever, but the tyres are on, {} {} {} Bolted up, super chuffed with how its looking now {} {} {} {} {} Everything seems to be coming together nicely. Need to roll and pull the fenders now, so I can bring the height down a touch without catching. MOT booked for a couple of weeks and Bride Brix and Rail coming in a couple of months too.
Looks sick mate, was a bit disappointed when you said the pink wheels but it's come out really well I like it
Thanks bud. I'll admit, Pink Wheels were a huge gamble. I was looking at some used Work VSXX's, but these were less money and brand new. Glad it paid off lol
Not much left to do in all honesty. Just Roll/Pull the fenders and adjust the ride height a little. Will be coming our on the road for a few weeks soon, so I can get used to it. 1st drift day booked up in couple of months with some friends too Roll cage is on the agenda too, as my local track needs you to have one to do tandem runs. Will sort that when i'm up to the right skill level lol.
Cant beat a Bride Seat... Ordered a Bride Brix from Dave at JDM Distro, great condition apart from the usual age related fading to Purple, but still supportive and a perfect fit Plonked it in the Car, just waiting for the matching Bride Rail to land with our shipment from Japan now. {} In other news, I have borrowed an Arch Roller from the guys at Cutloose. Time to fuck shit up! {} Not a bad job for my first attempt on a scabby fender lol. 10mm pull and then lowered 30mm. Although I may take it down a little more. Before, {} {} After, {} {} Passenger side and both rears to do now, hopefully without any drama...
Bit more tweaking done on the front, both sides are at the right height and flare now. Drivers side was pulled back 5mm and lowered another 10mm. {} {} Passenger side has the better condition fender. I’m happy with where we are at though. Never been so anal on fitment before! Just rears to sort now.
Arches rolled and ride height now dialled in. Super happy with how its sitting now. {} Took delivery of some Gramlights spoke decals too from Rays, {} And the Brix is now bolted up to its Rail and now in the Car {}
First drive out on Saturday for MOT, been waiting for my first proper drive since buying the Car! {} Landed at the MOT Centre, passed all OK, aside from needing a brake bulb. {} The Car drives spot on, no weird knocks, rattles or vibrations at all. Super happy with it. As an added win, I have managed to secure a 2-Way KAAZ Diff from our MD at work, so that will be installed the second the bearings and seals get here {}
Looking fantastic man. I'm pretty sure I seen your wheels on one of the JDM Distro (Or maybe Juiceboxforyou) videos on youtube. lol @ the MD just having a Kaaz 2-way just lying around.
Joys of being in the trade lol, I work for the European importer for Rays and Kaaz, although I cant say who for on here as i'll prob get booted lol
Righty, she's now all Tax'd, insured and MOT'd, much to my delight. Time to rack some miles racked up before Santa Pod on the 2nd October {} {} {} {} {} {} No complaints so far!
Haha, they that bad? Lol I’ll be doing it myself. But if your looking for someone to do it, Bara Motorsport in Bromsgrove are spot on.
