    Hello all,

I have a Lexus GS which is currently on air (don't all boo at once). I'm selling the complete Airlift 3H kit and wanting to go back to coilovers with aircups. So my questions are below:

Do I need to have cups front and rear or can I get away with just fronts on a large car?

Are there better suited coilovers for cups other than HSD?

Can HSD's go quite low? I ride my car low and the air helps me get over obstacles, but I like the simplicity of coilovers and cups as it meets my requirements better.

    Thanks.

    Rich.

Hi Mate, we can do a set of Aircups for the GS no problem.

Monopro use 14mm front and rear cups.

I had Mono's on my GS300 at this height and could have gone lower -

I would recommend the default Monopro's as it totally changed the car, made it fun to drive and not boaty.

Sorry dude for both questions. When you say Mono you mean the upgraded HSDs and not basic? What about spring rates as I always prefer a harder ride (don't like smashing my wheels into my arches

    Thanks again.

    Hi there,

I mean the Monopro's yeah, i wouldn't really recommend the harder spring rates as you dont have to have a harsh ride quality to get good tight fitment. Just do the right clearancing and you can have both!

For example Rich's S15 is on default spring rate CS2's and they dont rub - DpIwu1XW0AAi8Er.

Thank you so much for the replies. I'm guessing you would reccomend cups front and rear, but are they necessary? I have the money, just want to make sure I'm spending in the right places.

    Thank you.

    Hi mate!

You can probably get by with the fronts alone, but ill be getting fronts and rears eventually as id rather have it and not need it than be stuck somewhere!

Thanks buddy. I will have a little bit more research into cups online but I think I'm sold on the idea.

    Thanks for your help.

Just wandering if you went for all 4 cups? I’m thinking of getting air ups on my hsd coil overs for my GS and just wandering if you can fit cups on the rear?
