Just noticed a leak around the breather pipe(around where SR20 is written) on my freshly rebuilt SR.Literally drove the car for the 2nd time today.
Seems like a leak from the HG.Gasket is new, bolts are new too, torqued to spec.I did remove the head and reused the bolts and gasket, because I forgot to put the breather pipe, but the engine wasn't ran,so I doubt that had a big impact.Head and block were resurfaced, too. What could've caused it ? Do I need a new gasket ?
Hope you can see the oil in the pic, couldn't manage to take a better one with the available lighting.

Why would you go through all the effort of getting the head and block skimmed - but reusing the old headgasket and bolts?!

The picture isn't very clear so hard to tell anything really.

You didn't get me.It's a brand new gasket,I've just forgot to put the breather pipe and had to remove the head few hours after installing it.

At first I thought no way,it's dry as hell. Then I saw the rear half-moon was leaking oil all the way down to the engine number. Also, the bolts weren't very tight (I hate stripping threads). So,I guess that's it mate.I'm gonna reapply sealant and clean everything, just in case. Thanks !

    Composite gasket or MLS?

You can reuse MLS, if you're having trouble try a little hylomar to help it seal.
