Hi all, bit of a rookie to the tuning game. Picked up an S14a not too long ago and want to get it to around 260-280. Some parts (below) came with the car as the previous owner had the idea of getting more power.

Current list of mods that came with the car are:
    - HKS exhaust
    - Japspeed downpipe
    - K&N air filter
    - HKS fuel pressure regulator
    - forge adjustable actuator (think has standard 9psi spring)

Apart from that the engine is bone stock. My question is do I need anything else to make the power I'm looking for?

I've seem some mentions of FMIC, bigger injectors and uprated fuel pump but not sure if that's all needed.

    Any help appreciated thanks! :)

    Ah okay thanks man.

On Horsham they mention about a boost controller, but I have an adjustable actuator. Do you know if I need a boost controller or should I just get a 17psi spring for the actuator?

Also with the uprated fuel pump, do you know if I need bigger injectors?

    Thanks for your help :)

you wont need bigger injectors for that power, you can change the fuel pump without changing injectors...

for reference i ran the mods you listed above without the fuel pressure regulator, i had a manual boost controller, nismo 555 injectors, a hdev chip, standard turbo, the car made 295bhp like this.... when i wanted more i changed the turbo for a garett t2871r with a .64 housing, took it back to horshams where they mapped the chip to suit and it made 350bhp with great response...

    hope this helps :)

    Yea adjustable actuator is fine.

Swapping the spring might not get the boost you want, but you should be able to adjust the actuator arm to get it dead on.
Just a case of taking it for a run and fine-tuning.

Ah okay got you, thanks for your help man!

Do either of you guys know if I deffo will need a new FMIC to get this power? It's just another expense and wondering if I could get like 260 without the fmic...

tbh I’m not sure if you’d make the power on the standard intercooler, you may be able too but a front mount is usually one of the first mods I do on a turbo car, for the sake of what it costs I’d just do it and then when you wanna progress further it’s there ready....

Cheapo ones are just fine for that power level, you might want better quality hose clamps than what usually come in the kit.
