    Lydden Hill Race Circuit, Wootton, Canterbury, Kent CT4 6RX | T - (01304) 830557 | F - (01304) 831715

The format for this day is not comfirmed just yet, we are still basing it around some form of open pit lane but we are trying to come up with a divide between the newbies and the pros, so that the track flow is better.
At the moment i'm thinking half hour opl for newbies and half hour for pros in everyhour . As soon as we have agreed a middle ground i'll update this thread, but either way there will be plenty of seat time for everyone.

1- We have a drift day at Lydden on the 6th Oct 2012, The Day is Open to all levels of driver.

2-We are running the 3/4 loop circuit which includes the section the BDC used this year, see the youtube video at the bottom for track layout.

3-Tyres Services will be on site from 9-5 (£5 PER SWAP, FROM £2.50 A TYRE, £2 DISPOSAL) All tyres will now be disposed of on the day.
    http://www.willsmobiletyres.co.uk/default.htm
Please contact Will via his website for tyres.

4-You must hold a full UK drivers licence

5-Passengers are allowed but need to sign in on the day @ £20 for the day

6-Specators are £5 on the gate, but each pre-booked driver will recieve 2 gate passes

7-Twinning will be allowed on track too, but you must have permission from the other driver.

8-Signing in opens at 7:30am with a drivers briefing at 8:30am which you must attend. Failure to show by this time may mean you are unable to take part and in this case no refunds will be made

9-Cliping pionts will be laid out on the circuit

10-Additional drivers can be added on the day at a cost of £20 and needs to be paid directly in the signing in office on the day.

11-Helmets will be required and can be hired from the circuit and arms and legs need to be cover whilst on track.

12-We need around 80 cars for the day to proceed, max amount is 100

    Price

    Advanced bookings £99
    On the day £130

There is no longer the option for paying via paypal, and booking must now go directly through the office.
    To Book Call..... (01304) 830557
Once you have booked please PM me your name so i can put you on the paid list below.

Refunds will be made if the day is cancelled due to lack of numbers or extreme weather, other than this no refunds can be made, but you welcome to sell your slot on if you cant make it.

ill be there assuming im back in the country

quick note for anyone planning on driving, i hope the marshals will cover all this on the day but here it is written down so no one can say they wernt warned:

You are representing the drift community with your behavior, recently a few individuals have come close to completely fucking this up for us and getting these days stopped through failing to listen to the briefings, doing stupid things like burnouts in the pit lane, exiting the track the wrong way, failing to follow flags and dumping tyres!

Behaviour like this will result in lydden hill putting a stop to these days.

Because of which Asbo drifter has been banned from attending and anyone else who acts in this way will also be banned from attending.

Lez has worked very hard to get us onto the track and there is no way we are going to let anyone mess it up for the rest. so best behavior from everyone!

if you see someone acting like a dick, do something about it wether that is talking to them or just informing a marshal

Also have respect for other drivers, dont go sitting on peoples bumpers/twinning with people you dont know unless youve agreed to. If your not confident drifting a corner then carry as much speed as you can through it grip racing so your not holding anyone up/risking accidents.

shouldnt really have to write any of the above but there you go. Lets hope this day is as awesome as the last but without anyone ruining it!

Everyone should listen to initial_j, everything he has put there is absolutely 100% spot on. Somebody needed to say it!

Nobody needs to be a hero, everyone is there to have fun and its much more fun if it works well. Its not a Norfolk or a Santa Pod day where its a free-for-all, it is a proper track day with rules/flags and etiquette.

Can't wait for this, big thanks especially to Lez for keep organising these days!

There's no way I'll have time to attend this but if you are planning on attending this or any other drift day then you should pay attention to Jack's observations above.

Just to make a point, Norfolk isn't a 'free for all'. It is a carefully run, well organised event. We may not be Lydden Hill but we still expect drivers to respect one another and follow the rules.
