Ill second that with a huge thumbs up, i really started to wonder what it would end up like but its looking awesome, and it really must be as ive commented.... I usually just read read read...
This car is one of the top reasons behind my NEED to buy an MX-5 and start playing! This car is truly awesome! Nice work
I hear your brake lines exploded at Awesomefest because they were under too much strain on full look, just had the same happen to me at Crail. Did you manage to find a way around this? I love my retardo-lock.
Yeah I minced the braided line, fitted a driftworks s14 line and it sheered off the caliper. Had to blank it off and now only have one working front brake. Pass, I dont know yet how to make it work with my extra lock as the driftworks one was longer and it still failed on me :/ Let me know if you find a solution and vice versa.
Thread here which talks about using non-turbo FC lines, then goes on to talk about just removing the line from it's brackets so it's hanging loose: Sign In - Roadster Drift Basically going to give it to Kyle and see what he comes up with I think!
I would just move the mounting point forward from the chassis rail to near to the centerline of the suspension and obviously extend the hardline forward. that'll give you the slack you need and it wont be pulling the line across the back of the tyre when on full lock.
Not sure about for MX5s, but IIRC DoLuck make extended brake lines for a lot of common drift cars for this reason
This might be a stupid question but can you buy lengths of brake lines and then add your own fitments/banjos?
these are awesome seen them on the site for a while was tempted but went another route. its shaping up nice man
wats > xxr's lol. His looks cool though. The actual side step will be black, but iv painted the quarter bit green.. but fuuu i just cant them drilled on!!! My cars too solid and i dont have enough drill bits left! BAH!
