right basically i am fitting a new exhaust system and decat to my 32,

my problem is my new decat does not have any place for a sensor and i have a sensor dangling down under the car that looks like it should go in that area?

what is it? do i need it? will it affect the running of the car?
or can i just poke it back though into the car and do away with it?

or am i going to have to get a decat that has one in it?

    any info much appriecated

I've never worked on a r32, but I'm assuming it's the lambda sensor.
If so, yes it will affect how it runs. The sensor measures the oxygen content of the exhaust gases and controls the fuelling.

    Is it running OK?
