Japfest 2 is in a few weeks at Rockingham, details here- Japfest & Japfest 2 ? This years must attend Performance Japanese car shows The jist of it its going to be like Japfest normally is, but with a bit more emphasis on the extreme/mental performance stuff, which of course includes drifting. The main 'Power Paddock' stand, plus a couple more similar main location stands have room for a few cars if yours is suitable, and if you fancy it (and the car isnt too loud) there will also be a free special track session for all the chosen 'extreme' cars too (inc the ones on these stands). If you fancy it and your car fits the bill, no matter how old or new (ie Jap, mad looking, and serious power- something that properly stands out), drop me a PM or email and I'll let you know. Potentially there is room for 30+ I think, but they'd rather have less but mental stuff than 30 average motors. The show will get big features in Redline and Fast Car and no doubt all the Jap mags too, and as the 'Power Paddock' is a Redline thing every car on there will get in the mag, and considering the lack of drift cars in mags lately, thats a good thing! Email me- stavros@futurenet.com or PM.
Do you think the japfest is worth a journey from Germany to Rockingham? I am planning to go there but I am not 100% sure. Saw the Japfest 2010 Vid on Vimeo and it looks spectacular: [ame=http://vimeo.com/12012399]Japfest 2010 on Vimeo[/ame] Whats your opinion? Cheers
JZZ30- To be honest, I hope so. BUT as this is the first ever 'Japfest2' and the first ever at this location, I cant be 101% sure. If this was Japfest at Coombe, as its been done before, I'd say 100% yeah, but who knows about this one, it has the potential to be better though...
Ok thanks Stavros! I think I will come and take a look.. I hope for good weather nice cars massive action and some nice british ladys =) Cheers
Its a Future Publishing show, so they will be I guess. Exactly who is doing it though I'm not sure, but knowing who they usually get for Japfest and TRAX, im guessing some of the top guys in Europe. Potentially plenty more room for the right cars to come so drop me an email or something if you think you goit what we after. Worst that can happen is they can decide no.
Rumour has it a couple of Irish cars will be there For the "track time" is it drift or grip kinda track time on offer for cars picked?
you want any of these two there if i get to drive i need all the seat time i can get or or not really a drifty sports car but
Evo JeepGal- Its a normal track session, but drift if you want. If you want to come, email me, we short on time. Dango- Both cars. Email me. Weeber- Thought I replied, will now Anyone else who interested, email/pm, ideally before 5pm today
Dont fancy drifting on a track where others are driving/racing at the same time, I like my car in one piece!!!
