Is This Diff FUCKED or can I still Weld It?

    I was hoping to fit this 325 Diff, to my 328, after opening it up its pretty fucked.

    The 2 small cogs are completely fucked, but can I still put in a plate and weld it?

    aslong as the crown and pinion are fine, you can weld it up ;)

    Yep they appear to be fine, turn ok without any stiffness.
    The larger cog can be put back in, it came out when I took a output shaft out.

    Yeah, you'll want that in there, as thats what trasmits power to the output shaft (see the splines)

    weld all that shit together, with the planetary gears in there, nice and easy ;)

    Just weld the side output planet gears to the diff centre. If you have TIG it's far better

    Got the other gear back in now, so just weld in a plate between the 2 gears as I would do normally?
    It all seems to move freely, few marks around but none on the gears.

    dude weld it, if it breaks weld it again. and then if you break it weld it like it was a battleship.

    lol cool, it will be getting welded then. I'll keep the 328 welded diff as a spare.

    Small case is no good unless it comes with prop and driveshafts for pennies?

    Diff now welded, seems ok, turns freely by hand.
