Holy shit that turbo is going to need some bracing to hold it in place without cracking all those long pipes I'm sure its all in hand though hehe. I love this because its retarded!
Yeah thats what id decided too, so went for it. Dont like pretty much any off the shelf ways of doing anything. Just wish I had a better workshop than a driveway to do it all in. Manifold wont be supporting the weight of the turbo in any way. Im always the one telling everyone they fucking stupid for crying about their manifold cracking as ive been using turbo hangers for a decade since I was like 19, so its in hand. Bit more than the usual turbo supports for what im doing though.
A great place to support the turbo from is off the top of the braket used for the stock air pump mounting. I have seen people support from the chassis then wonder why everything breaks
To be fair, I better stop welding for a few days while i work a few things out... My plans may change slightly now as I've just picked up a 6litre LS for 550quid...
Got to love terrible for sale ad's with no mention of the letters V and 8 in them! I dont think I'll ever find such a deal again, so I cant see me selling it, im fed up of small engine woes too!
Lol, loving the other Youtube window open. Don't LS it, they're boring as fuck. Really wanna see this running.
I'm not, for now anyhow. Rotary having its final chance to impress me. Few other changes have happened too, mostly for weight/simplicity reasons, but havent got/done it yet so not bothered taking pics. Getting right on with it though, want it finished asap, hence sold the Merc to help fund it. The other PooTube page was open to explain to Tim in the office that real men wear open face helmets, lol.
Love this car, always flip to the staff cars seaction when i get redline mag to read about this first. Can only aspire to make my FC as cool as this. Top work, will be awesome to see it finished and out drifting. Will be a real animal and without a doubt will sound awesome and show these 1jz and RB drifters a thing or 2! Ben
Any updates Big Man ? Those Image wheels are FDUKin lovely!! and did I read you've been doing the pipe work and welding yourself ? If so, hats off ;o)
