Will do Idar - sorry for the slowness. Colour coat going on over the next 2 weeks - so progress will speed up then! Steve.
Thanks for the tip - I'll have a look at the ECU changes once it is all up and running. At last painting has started..........
Really tidy project, I wish you the best of luck with it. I am at the same thing at the moment and wondering how did you sort the sump?
what are the specs on the fostek axle? looked into these a while back for my ke70 but never progressed with it? price all up?
Hi there - sorry for the late reply. The Axle is a 3.75:1 with Quaife LSD. It comes complete with hubs and discs. They are not cheap, but very nicely made. Hope that helps? Anyway - here are a few photos of the current situation. The interior is painted and looks great (x13 coats of blue over a silver base coat!). The exterior will be started this coming week..... http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/ae76/KPS_bucket/sdtarlet010.jpg http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/ae76/KPS_bucket/sdtarlet0102.jpg
mint project, really decent job done of the interior aswell, looking forward to following the rest of the work you are planning on doin to it
looks brilliant, One question though why didnt u put a weld in cage in the car or four link it when u have gone to the bother of turreting it?
Hi there. Good question re. the cage. First reason was because I got a new bolt-in virtually FOC! Second is that if I want to restore it to a more conventional interior at some stage in the future it will be fairly easy. The cage won't be perfect anyway because I am not having rear cross bracing - this will make it more discreet and more in line with my sleeper image. (It will be tied into the roof though as well as bolted to 6 points on the floor/rear arches, so it will be better than nothing in terms of stiffening things up). On the suspension we opted for a fifth link panhard rod set up on the axle in the end. Regards, Stephen
