Have you seen any F1 at all this year? I used to watch a lot of DTM, but since about 2004ish it started to get quite boring for me and only went to the occasional race if I happened to be near or free tickets arrived . Before that it was absolutely awesome... I still remember at the first race that Zandvoort held, we where sitting above the pits and there was a hectic battle inside the pit itself between 2 cars...lots of angry germans BTCC is utter tripe these days, I catch it occasionally on TV. Can't say I've seen any DTM races in the last 2 years so wouldn't know
A while ago somebody posted a video of some American touring car racing that was very good based on what I saw. I remember Porsche 911 fighting with a Corvette V8 and trying to ran each other off the track. Mean while some concept cars was passing them. It was 3 classes race going at the same time, some of the shots were even at night. Can anyone tell me what it is as I've been googling for the past half hour. It has some weird initials like U W C and it seems to be American series only.
Ah yes, many thanks. So it was Le Mans after all and I though no way it was that kind of race because I figured Le Mans is just for endurance. I take it this doesn't happen often then? Not always as entertaining?
A longer version of the Bergmeister vs. Magnussen duel at ALMS in 2009, one of the most intense race videos I've seen tbh.
Can't see the video's (at work), is it the 1 with the crash at the end ? Think its the corvette ? If it is absolutely awesome race/duel from memory. Quite a few posted over on trackculture. I'll have a look when i'm at home if someone doesn't beat me to it. I still quite enjoy F1 and DTM and BTCC and everything else to be honest.
ALMS is not THE le mans. its an american endurance series that just use the same classes as the proper Le Mans race (gt3 lmp1 ect.)
Yes you do. Look, it's there in those videos! That was like, two years ago. Endurance racing is going gangbusters these days. Finally got to the point where the cars are reliable enough that they just treat it like a 12-24 hour sprint race. Intense action all the way through. Sportscar racing has never been so good. BTCC is shit these days. Talentless drivers just clumsily bashing each other off the track all the time, and whinging about it afterwards. F1 is miles better.

Cracking comparison. Full race chassis/aero, 470hp 200hp Seat Leon with different subframes and a boot spoiler. Douche.
What exactly was your point then? Everythings built to go as fast as it can be within the rules for its series. In the grand scheme of things BTCC isnt that fast.
The DTM guys sure do love Deutsche post. Maybe if my parcel was on one of those it would blast through customs.
