The only vac line going to the brakes is the one you disconnected. So it can't be that. I'd question if the calipers are seized or whether something else suspect is going on. It was nice to be parked next to you and have a chat, but damn the car is loud !
Kind off odd though for both the calipers to seize at once, no clogged breaklines/mastercil.? If it solves itself after you release the bleeds, there's gotta be something stopping the fluid from flowing back
Think the above makes sense! Was a great night non the less, was too busy trying to sort the car out I didnt get a chance to chill out and speek to many people. Hopefully the next day I will be a bit more prepared, got my stage 2 ecu back so may have a bit more power next time also.
Erm, just some aluminium I had lying around, bent it into shape myself. Loads of people hate it in front of the cooler like that. lol got a valid point about heat and the pump working harder but its simple and I aint had time to move it.
Well its been a while since I updated this page, sorted out most of the running issues, new chipped ecu thanks to John Bennet, put the 550cc injectors in there and attempted to up the boost, not getting very far with the HKS adj actuator though. Brakes have been a major issue, i.e. not having any. Suspect master cylinder or blocked line, didnt stop me drifting though, went to the NYE drift at Teesside and things went well. Fuel pump was indeed to high to feed the engine sufficiently, mounted this below the tank for much better running. Here are some pics: Got a set of skirts and a front bumper to go on, needs tudying up and finishing properly now for BDC and the Northern Drift Championship. WIll Try and update as regulary as I can. Thanks for looking Ian
HI IAN 200SX real nice s13 grate work mate . Could you give me eny info were you got your 50mm fenders from please because i just can not find eny for my s13 . Thanks D
SRB POWER - NISSAN S13 / 180SX +50mm REAR FENDERS - SRB POWER LIMITED (UK) 50mm Overfenders Gave the car a clean today and started fitting the bodykit. Got a new gearbox gaiter to go on along as it is leaking and got a new master cylinder to try, fingers crossed. Will be the 3rd one ive had on the car. Anyway here are some pics, not fitted anything yet just mocked up until I get some proper fixings. Progress can be a bit slow atm, although it is very cold! Ian
Cheers mate, Fuel cell is 50ltr I think, not sure where its from as it came with the car, rallydesigns or carbuilder solutions I think sell them. Fitted things up today, sideskirts were the worst fitting items I have ever seen, just aswell they only cost me £30. Took a bit of cutting here and there for the front bumper but got it reasonable enough in the end. Just need to prime them up the same as the rest. Ian
Little update, turbo blew itself off the manifold during the last drift day. Priced up new studs, nuts and locking ties and it came to about £40, and then I would need a gasket also! - WTF Nissan. Anyway decided to do the permanent solution and weld the tubby to the manifold. Whilst I was down there I heat wrapped the down pipe and elbow, as the interior was quite literally melting under hard use. I know if the tubby eats itself I have issues but figured a new manifold flange was cheaper than buying Nissans nuts! Lol Also with the handbrake getting worse and worse I bit the bullet and bought myself a hydro. BDC entry’s coming soon, think I am just gunna go for it and get paid up! :sxoc: Otherwise I don’t think I ever will, still running it in the Northern Drift Championship too though. Cheers for looking Ian
haha nice job with the turbo and manifld thats a true... "aw fuck it has to be done" senario.. and anyway if it paks it in you could just remove exhaust housing from turbo.. whack some fresh internals in and your away!!
Fire extinguisher fitted, two nozzles, one at footwell one at fuel rail, Battery master switch fitted, with pull cords at windscreen panel. Moved the battery into the car to keep it away from the fuel cell. Re-painted the interior and fitted a .7 hydro. Still havin brake problems so new calipers etc are on the cards, just need fuel cell seperation and I should be up to full BDC spec. Ian
Spent an hour or so tonight perfecting and already perfected handbrake design, ah well... Least I have a scale template to work from tomorrow. Ian
