Good luck man, glad you've got the engine sorted! hope to be destroying tyres with you next season too Should be well into the 300's with no cats and stand alone! Great engine Brad =)
link atom because it means I can get rid of all the BMW ECU and wiring, because it's too clever for its own good and the EWS system is a pain on them, much easier to run a stand alone ECU and a new dash. Plus a bit more power
Cool more bmw v8s!!!! Ews is a pain, 4.0s dont have it Has your inlet manifold got gaps between each individual inlet?
looking good dude, did you have to use a 33 crossmember to fit the rb25 or can you use a r32 cross member?
Yeah it's a 4.4, Martin of mb automotive recommended the atom, so I think that's the way I'm going to go. With a stack dash as well. I used a r33 subframe yes, not sure if a 32 one will work but don't see why not.
Doesn't the 4.4 have a fly by wire throttle? If so how are you getting round this? Take it the m60 manifold might be an option
as I`m planing to put a m62b44 engine in my car too, but cose is a midle engine setup could you tell me how wide is the engine, i need external sizes. cheers. ps I spok with the vortex engineer for a c38 compressor (wich he recon for this engine) and he said we should easy see 580hp under 1 bar of pressure
A bit of progress on this, The engine ready to come out of the BMW Removed all the wiring out of the S13 as I'm going to be making my own loom, probably around 30kg here Stripped the insides out of the S13 to allow some space to cut the tunnel away for the wider gearbox The first hole cut And the engine goes most of the way in A bit more cutting and it fits in a treat It is pretty wide tho I'm going to use the BMW clutch master which mounts inside the car and I think if I run a brake master with the outlets on the other side from the engine and not run a servo then it should clear that fine.
Some good progress here dude. What's the hole for in front of the original gear lever hole on the tunnel? Surely if you remove the servo your brake feel/pressure will be terrible?
