Dont know much info yet, but being in the division its in, its going to have about 550bhp and over 600lb/ft of torque... :worthy:

    Sounds fucking proper too...

Awesome! Surely the engine internals will be similar if not the same as the VALTONEN MOTORSPORT drift rx-7? It looks and sounds like a VE head anyways...

I think its just a redtop, the VVL stuff has a perfectly flat "front" (longditunal layout) and the redtop as a "dent", inbetween the camgears.

Skyline based transmission, but fully dogboxed awesomeness.

Nah, this is running a 45mm restrictor, so they'd spec it to suit. Bet its got far more torque and low down power than their RX7.
The division its in the top cars are about 550bhp and nearly 700lb/ft. Plus instant response from the anti-lag etc etc

Bit more info- It has about 550lb/ft, lots still.

And running a Holset HX35 turbo.

When the Rallycross guys want ~700lb/ft to compete with the big boys they use a better engine...

Not normally a fan of SR'd RX7s, but that does look quite cool!

It could still be a VE head, the dyno room vid doesnt show for sure either way. But with the sound and the fact that it has antilag (which could risk damaging the DET rockers) I'd put odds on it being a VE until proven otherwise...

Stav - my point being that the bottom end and basic specs could well be similar, obviously cams and turbo will probably be different...

anyways it doesnt matter all that much cos its still awesome.

I doubt the bottomend would be similar, different compression ratio etc almost for sure.

How would anti-lag damage the rockers? I've no idea how SR heads work

Dunno is this Ve or Det, but Finnish Team Falken SR20DET S13´s did use antilag and i didn´t hear that they suffered any problems, their engines was also built by Valtonen motosport if i remember correctly.

I remember that the base engine in the rallycross Mazda is the same as in Valtonen Motorsport Time Attack RX7. I can check next week, but I would say it's a SR16VE engine stroked to 2 liter.

    Google Translate

" 570 horsepower, with torque of 800 Newton at its best. And already in 4000 from the round is over 500 Nm of torque. The operating range is long, says a new racer Arola source of power."

    570hp, 800Nm (~590lb/ft) torque, says this site...

    Good find man :worthy:

Like to see a 13B manage that! Nice to see an SR20 being done properly with proper boost (that will be 2.5bar+, love to find out exactly what).

    Boost = Torque.

Proper mega boost, anti-lag helps too. Big boost is also why its got 590lbft rather than sub 450lbft like other 570bhp SRs you see have.
