    Update time.

Right then, ive been cracking on this week. Before i set about welding the passenger inner wing on i clammped the wings and front panel on to the car to check everything lined up as it should and so far so good. I would have liked to get the bonnet on too but with all the clamps in place it wouldnt have shut anyway so didnt seem like much point in trying.

So i removed all the panels and cracked on with welding. Here it is just taked in place.

And there we go fully welded in place.

And ive ground the welds back mostly. Still needs some finishing off then i can get to welding on the strengthening plate onto the top mount.

I wish all my welds were this good.

After id done that i turned around and set about fixing a rust hole lower down in the inner wing area.

Nasty rusty hole, me no likey.

All thin rotten metal cut out and ive tacked a nice repair section in the hole.

Thats all for now. Hopefully have more updates for you all soon.

Bit of an update. since last time the patch i welded in the inner wing has been finish welded and ground back and had a coat of zinc primer to protect it for now.
Moving away from the the engine bay for a wile ive started to cut out the rusty metal in the drivers side foot well and splash sheald and apost, bit more rust than the other side but still all repairable and after this bit is done apart from the rear arches i think that would be all the rust repair done. then i will just need more cash to do the rest of it.

Floor pan cut out and im happy to say another nice solid chassis rail.

You can see here the extent of what ive had to chop out but all will be nice shiny new metal before too long.

I was suprised when i realised when my last update was. Dont worry folks, the car is still in build its just taking a long time. Lack of money is the main thing slowing me down but im still plodding along with it.

Right, i took some pics of the work ive got completed over the last few months. Its not loads but here we are.

The big hole i cut out is now filled with some nice new metal. just needs some finish grinding in places and then some primer.

The A-post is all hand made by me and the A-post to sill section took me the longest time to make and about 4 attempts.

Got these two areas to repair then the engine the front end welding minus fitting the actual panels is done.

And a pis of the the engine bay to show both new inner wing sections.

Thats all for now. Ill try not to leave the next update so long.

Chears people. Time for an update me thinks. Dont expect to much though.

Repaired the o/s suspension tower that had been bodged up before.

That was the last of the structural repairs so I bolted on the front suspension.

Then I bought myself a front grille so I could get the front panel and slam panel lined up.

Then I offered it upto the car, just need to get wings lined up aswell then I can get it all welded on. I also managed to find a set of new old stock front wings, not cheap but will be worth it. You will also notice that the car is sitting on its wheels aswell now.

My escort will be on hold again for a wile now as im in the process of buying a house which is going to be a project fixing it and the garage up and im doing the fabrication work on my friends 200sx ready for an rb25det engine conversion.

My friends car, inner tubs all made by me.

And I also have this which needs some work.
