Thanks man, can't wait to start using it now. Update I was having contact issues with the nuts for the bolt in cage, infact if I'm honest it got stuck driving off my drive because the tyre jammed on them Luckly my drive is so uneven that my shocks almost go to full compression just driving forwards so I can test for issues like this. I decided the best bet was to swap out the old bolts for some button heads, at least if they do touch these (would take a pretty large bump) there will be no damage to the tyres. A fair bit less intrusive. If it still rubs when I drive it then extreme measures will be taken but I REALLY don't want to go down that road. Maybe stiffer shocks would be a good idea too but we'll see. Also had to cut more metal off the old arch work as there was signs of contact there too: Test drive tomorow hopefully. 19's are fun Mmmkay.
Jesus fuck thats low on those rims, most people are on air ride at that height. Looks nuts tho! Surely itl never be drifted like that?!
You say it like it's a bad thing? Drift car styling went to shit shortly after 2001. PS - it looks amazing.
Amen. Car looks very very cool, bit of a 326 Power thing going on. Unsure as to whether the OEM rear lights are letting the look down however! Everything else is pretty much perfect
Thanks for all the kind words guys. We'll see how it goes it this height, I really don't want to change it so I'm commited to making it work. I'm unlikely to drift on the LXZ too often though so it'll be raised for 18's when I pick some spares up.
So after a weekend of cutting and rain dodging I ended up taking a further 1" of metal of the original 1/4's After having a quick drive on my road it would seem that it's pretty much there. I did notice a slight knocking noise from underneath but I've a funny feeling thats the handbreak cables for the z32 rear brakes on the prop. Although now I don't seem to be able to line up the overs so I can fit the petrol cap...fucking fibre glass.
U have to keep it dude its so awesome getting it to fit that well. U r right though whats the point in it being low and rubbing. Totally awesome though. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
Right so as most will know I put the LXZ's up for sale to pick up Nick's Emitz along with another set for sale atm, there was a few things that drew me to the deal but most of all it was down to being able to pick up 8 of the same wheels for less than the LXZ's were worth and not be to fussed I fcuked them up. Alas, someone beat me to it just after I'd taken the deposit on the LXZ and I had to refund. So today I really pulled my arse into gear and got on with the show. I removed even more metal off the rear of the car today, seriously if it does rub now I'll have no other option than to start looking at tubbing the rear arches So thats it really, got to find a way to hold my new handbreak cables up out the way because they're hitting the prop and then make road legal time. Just a few shots from the weekend:
Savage man! If I am honest I am glad the other wheels sold as in my personal opinion them other wheels you wanted would have looked awful on this! Now get it out skidding!
Think I'm gona have to go down to a 35 profile up front sooner than expected as it's causing me issues, setting the castor up properly should help to. Next up...welding.
So my Zeta iii showed up (albeit damaged due to piss poor wrapping) Pretty happy as it seems more comfy than the SPG and also sit abit lower too. I might have to swap out the graduation cushions for black though.
