My usual first port of call here was searching for my username, and then getting a nice easy list of my posts.... Now it only comes up with the topics I've started instead.

Best get the whip out then because its still shit. Cant search properly, cant do moderating easily as the drop downs appear behind the forum etc. Its shit and TBH I cant be arsed with the hassle, which isnt great as a moderator.

I´ve recently tried the search function on my PC at work, and it works fantastic there, just like it used to be. Very old XP PC using google chrome.
I searched for "AE86" and get all the new posts (fat letters) and older posts (fine lethers) in correct order!!! Yeh :)

But my Laptop using Vista and the latest Firefox still has the same problem, most random, old search result.

Can any of the other people who got annoyed confirm???

Nothing seems to come up if you search S14 or E46 either, i'm presuming its something to do with not enough letters ?

apologies this has taken so long, but I'm sorting this now.
The search index is rebuilding now so you may not get 100% of the results yet, but three letter stuff is already populated nicely, so all your s13 s14 e36 searches should actually work again :smash:

Righto, that's just finished so we should be all good now.
Oh and I've just changed the 'advanced search' link in the top bar so it actually takes you to the page you'd expect as well :)

Yeap its working a bit better for me (Mozilla Firefox). If I type in AE86 all the random post that don´t have anthing to do with AE86's are gone. :)
However it still doesn´t find my build thread, or Stavros´s AE86 build thread, both with AE86 in the title. This makes me wonder how many other threads about AE86´s don´t get displayed??? and most important, why?

Also since your recent changes the search function stopped working on google chrome on my work pc, have tried it for the last couple of days and it goes straight to the same screen you get if you´re looked for word that dont exist, no matter what you put in there, AE86, Skyline, Lydden Hill, you name it, bo result.

Any idea whats going on there?

    Thanks ;)
