so basicaly the same as getting it sprayed, but has a life expectancy........ seems bit of a ball ache, but I supose if the price is drasicaly less than a paint job or a wrap then fair enough, but I have a feeling it's going to be about the same as a propper spray job cost wise??

Small to medium cars can be done for about £500. Hardener can be added if you want it to be permanent.

The other advantage is that if you don't like it or change your mind you can peel it off. Also, apparently, you don't need to mask anything, just trim around lights etc with a sharp knife.

There are some nice jobs on dipyourcar.com - including some where people have added pearl or glow-in-the-dark powders.

Yip, and probably just the same guy doing it to get free advertising

You can see why its cheaper, one little dink or scrape and its a full panel knackered, wonder what temps it withstands

It's shit , I do full resprays for £500 and you don't have to peel it off after 6months , and read up on it , it fucks your paintwork underneath .

Total waste of money and time . Limited colours , shit finishes.

It's a waste of time because after you peel it off you have to get it resprayed because your "plastic dips" fucked up your original paint

Oh and as for making it permanent with Hardner you wouldn't leave all your lights unmasked surely ? So might as well do it properly

Yeah that's a new car , try it on non factory paint .

As with any old car 99% of cars have had work on them

Yea tbh with some of the spray jobs people are offering for the same money I can't really see the advantage. Although the prep time ie sanding etc seems a lot less with this dipping stuff.
