    Hi,

Got this ARC Intercooler and wanted to know if these are any good. Heard of them but not enought to know what they are like.

Can someone tell me what kind of quality they are like what brands do they compete with and what is it worth?

I don't have a Model/serial number but It looks abit like the picture below. BTW, I'm asking this for a friend.

    Thanks

    Rob

ARC (Abbey Road Company) are a premium tuning house. They make air intake systems for most Japanese cars, Exhaust systems, fancy blingy shiney bits and FMIC's / Rad's and pipes/hoses etc. They do a load of stuff tbh. One of the more expensive companies out there but there quality of parts is pretty good tbh!

Your friend has a very nice intercooler :D The image you posted, I cant be sure but looks like an upgraded wing mount? Or if it a front mount? What car is it for and I'll be able to tell you how much they are new. Iv got a few of their catalogs.

The guys who run ARC are some of the nicest people iv come across. Real helpful, went out of there way to help me out before. :) The owner even gave discount for buying a couple of s15 intake box and filters and sending home to Scotland. :)

Mint- the pic is one of those basic front mounts that keep the stock wing mount piping

We'll it was off a r32 skyline but it looks like it was designed for the rb20/25's stupid manifold design lol.

Some 200sx ones are the same design, as is mk3 supra. Basically anything that had a wing mount intercooler

mk3 supra, similar, but different, and as standard is a front mount, not wing

    Caged, isn't that a side/wing-mount?

The picture of the ARC intercooler is a front mount. I don't blame you, in the picture it looks tiny.

one of the worst designs if you ask me. I honestly don't see the point, hot air from the turbo gets cooled at intercooler to travel back over the exhaust manifold to get hot again.

    hehe, lol.

No its a standard, front mount from a mark 3 supra, 7mgte-engined car. Front mount as standard, not wing mount.

    RB20 HN32 ; Part Number, M073HR32F06 98,000Y. This was their 2006 price range.
    In today's exchange is. 98,000.00 JPY = 653.090 GBP.

However its an old Intercooler, and those prices probably mean very little now. To buy it from RHDJapan.com costs 115,584Y before shipping and customs. Which is £770.
    ARC Intercooler SMIC M073 BNR32 BCNR33 BNR34 Skyline GT-R

But people wouldnt pay that for a second hand intercooler :p So you need to be realistic. Iv bought several full intake systems (Box, Filter and Chambers with joins) for Roadster 1.8's and paid pocket money really compared to what they cost new.

Its only worth what someone is willing to pay, but at least you know new price :)
