at the moment my e36 328 sport is on 18inch style 32s, 8 inch front with 225,40,18s and 8.5 rear with 255,35,18s. theres no rubbing and the car is on bilstiens and lowering springs probs about 20mm. anyway ive seen some 8.5 x17 contours et15 with 235,45,17s and 245,45,17s on the rear. just wondered are these likely to fit under the archs of a e36? the rear archs looked to have been rolled already
according to THE list your 18s are et20 so i took a little time to put some figures into Online Wheel & Tyre Fitment calculator. Offset, Tyre stretch and Rolling Radius calculator Green is your 18" style 32, orange is the 17" this link is fronts: Online Wheel & Tyre Fitment calculator. Offset, Tyre stretch and Rolling Radius calculator this one is your style 32 18" rears vs the contours: Online Wheel & Tyre Fitment calculator. Offset, Tyre stretch and Rolling Radius calculator hope that helps. IMO they'll fit ok esspecially with that mild 20mm drop.
http://www.driftworks.com/forum/dri...4037-e36-3-0-m3-drift-car-build-mint-now.html my e36 with 17inch x 8.5 et 13 contours need a good roll on the front arches and a slight roll on the rear
Loads of guesses and confusion in this thread. 17x8.5j et15 contours ( which will be reps btw as real contours never came in those sizes) will fit an e36 with 205/40 all round and a touch of cambers. Any bigger tyre or mega slammage will require arch rolling for sure. Rear arches always need more than fronts as they have slightly less clearance. Tbf you'll never ever tuck that size tyre on that offset rim on an e36 no matter what you do so fit some less balloon tyres and win at life.
