    I completely agree with you.
Real enthusiasts admire people who have put hours of time and effort into making their car look different.

However I would't class 2 hours a a few cans of matte black effort.
The car looks hideous, nothing about it is "rare" or sought after, infact seeing as you "know your stuff", what bodykit is this "rare" one?

You would be lucky to get £700 for this.

I love the advert because it's basically saying "buy my bargain car for £1650 (but its actually worth £2000, or that's what i'm telling you) and then spend another £1200 on getting the wheels refurbed because I can't drive.

The exhaust system must be a one off super-custom system because Scorpion custom systems are £290 delivered for the mx5.

Honestly, I can't quite understand what reaction you were expecting from posting your treasured heap on DW.

Good luck with the sale......no really, good luck, because the only person I could see being happy to own this, is Stevie Wonder.

Pie Face, that's a bit harsh. David Blunkett would have a go on it too.

    That's pretty awful.

It'd sell a lot easier if you de-gayed it by removing the big gay wing, spoiler, neons, red bits, etc etc.

You won't get your asking price in a million years, but I'm sure it will sell easier.

And your advert says you need a bigger more powerful car so you can learn to drift- LOL. Maybe if you learnt to drift you wouldn't need a more powerful car, and you can keep this unique creation...

I don't really see any of this being necessary, the guy likes his car and is advertising it to other people who may or may not like it. If you don't like it, leaving it alone would take less of your time.

At any rate, I'm not interested in the car, but Alperin, if you consider splitting it, I'd be interested in the body kit, PM me if you do.

    Ahhh good old sales threads,

Some people will like what you're selling. Some people will not. This is called opinion. What we do know though, is once you drastically change the look of a car (making it look a little bit like a bat mobile for example) you are ultimately (without a doubt) reducing the appeal to the mass market.

Some people will agree with the value, others will not. Ultimately though, a car will only ever sell for what someone is willing to pay for it.

Let's just hope that someone is currently on the market for a new car with £1600 burning a hole in their pocket specifically looking for a MX-5 that in an obscure way resembles a bat mobile from 40 odd years ago. Sort of.

Me too, its a shame. It could have been saved if it weren't for the 2 bob badly done paintjob, why people are allowed to spray cars matte black is beyond me
