What kind of turbo is this?

    I think its a Garrett. lol

    its a T25/T28, just measure the compressor and you'll be able to work it out from garretts website.

    I got this turbo from a friend. is this the same then as the stock sr20det turbo? compressor inducer and exducer has the same diameter.

    nissan s15 spec r gt28.

    dual ball bearing, capable of either 270-320hp depending on the size of the turbine wheel.

    I think your guessing mate, its unlikey to be a GT28 off a spec r as its brand new from the looks of things, could be more like a GT2860R or something very close..

    Its a GT2861R, I found the code number. Thanks for the help, you almost guessed it right superclarkey. This can handle around 420-450 Horsepower , right? This will go on an sr20.

    im going on a limb

    Will either be a GT2860 - Disco potato style, jurnel bearing etc

    or a GT2860R - Ball bearig same as a


    As previous post with useual supporting mods Z32/injectors/fuelpump etc. realisticall 300bhp, 320 on a cold day and a decent engine

    Its one that spins....




    but according to a quick google search. it is a T28. and is apparently the ideal turbo to have on an S15.
    it should have these numbers on the I.D plate.

    So far every answer is different which i think is brilliant.
    Honestly, i havent got a f*cking clue...

    For information, they arent all BB, only the earlier cars were :)

    That turbo is not going to do 400hp
