Right guys and girls.... time to start organizing! Firstly Congratulations to everyone who made the top 32 this year, unfortunately for some of you, you didn't complete the required 4 events and as a result have put yourselves out of contention But this gives a second chance to a few that are sitting just outside the top 32 Anyway, here it is...... green = you are in Orange = Reserve no colour = not enough rounds TOP 32: Next batch on the reserve list: Now my job is done here, it's over to Gavin (livin4skidin) & Gordon (g-tec) to arrange an excellent final at Pembrey on the 27th where we will be using a portion of the GP track. See you all there, happy skids to you all!! Jono
Surely numbers 20 & 26, Rich Grindrod & Chris Smith shouldn't even be on the list, they may have taken part in competitions at rounds but are BDC drivers. This would give people on the reserve list a chance to compete at the final.
Yeah 2 pro drivers on the list and I'm sure Mat Denham should of got 100 points in the event he won...
Drift widow I know there's 2 Bdc drivers in there and they done both rd1 and 2 before they started Bdc either way they don't have 4 Rds so they'd be removed anyways And doughnutter yes it may change mats position but still don't change that he hasn't done 4 Rds either What event did he win ?? As non of the score sheets show he won ?? I can only work of the sheets supplied to us by the events organiser
So everyone down to Adam Allen is in the finally then considering he rounds off the top 32 of the people eligible for the final? If we're going off the green only the there will only be 23 people at the final
Surely people that scored within the top 32 but not enough rounds like myself should at least be on the reserves list??? When were we told that we would be dropped without doing 4 rounds? In the welcome pack we never received.....
It's quite clearley written in the ODC 2013 thread that is stickied to the top of this forum subsection. http://www.driftworks.com/forum/uk-...p/192171-2013-uk-open-drift-championship.html
Thing is guys, at the end of the day if all the people who have done 4 rounds are in the final and there are still places that need to be filled to make up the 32 drivers, then there could be a chance fore people with 3 rounds to be invited..... just going to have to wait and see, as you can put money on not everyone eligible for the final can make it!
Surely as it is more like a handicap for high scores for those that made 3 rounds and still had good enough scores to be top 32 should still make the final as I would think this would only be the fair way of doing it regardless of the that bit in the rules. Other wise you could drive round score minimum points on 4 days and make the final. Think maybe a review is needed there IMO. Sorry for the rant, I'm not even in it but just saying how a lot of ppl are feeling!
Rules are rules. It clearly states in the rules that you MUST attend 4 rounds. The rules were clearly laid out before the ODC season started. You can't change the rules just to make a few people happy. What about the people who did attend 4 rounds and got 4 scores. If they get knocked out of the top 32 they'd be pissed off. As the entrant, it is your job to read and understand the rules of the championship you enter. If you don;t understand them then ask. I've asked for and had clarification on a few BDC rules and as such, my car and myself are compliant. If I hadn't read the rules and asked questions, I wouldn't have been allowed to compete. Simple as that.
So BDC do ask for brains to be removed then Joe haha Yea, as Joe said People who have done 4 rounds and just landed outside of the top 32 would soon kick off if people who haven't complied with the rules make the final over them! I know I'd be pissed if I had lashed out money to do 4 rounds, ended up in 33rd only to be pushed out by someone who hasn't done 4 events!! J
