Ok so my car arrives on the 12th but I'm a little confused
ive got all the import docs from Japanese used cars
ive now got the bill to get the car off the boat and stick it in the free zone

I was under the impression I just went to the port to collect the car and pay the duty and other bits
do I need to fill in this c88 sad form or is that only for an agent?

Any other help would be useful :)

From my experiance you only pay the agent they pay the fees and complete all the forms. I just turned up with a trailer and ID and collected it

As above, get a clearing agent to get it customs cleared - I normally use Rob @ Kleerfreight. You may have to pay the shipping bill depending upon whether you bought that car FOB or CIF.

Getting it from Southampton? I used Penguin shipping, ask for Linda if she still works there. So easy to deal with.

Another vote for Rob@Kleerfreight, was more than helpful when I bought a car from JapaneseUsedCars a few years ago.

Yeah I've spoken to rob Barnes today, but thought there might be a guide online
