I think it looks awesome. The amount of work that has gone into this, and all of it is functional. Can't wait to see this at full tilt on track. Seriously hope they bring this to Driftland at some point!
Wow. Just... wow. Looks fantastic, as has been said I love how the bodywork flows like an OEM panel rather than looking like tacked on wide arches. Can't wait to see/hear it in action!
the lack of skirts is epic, makes it look mean as! Intrigued to see how this skids. That much power, grip and minimal weight is going to be tough to control
Agree, no skirts make it right in my eyes. Because it's not turbo, it will have proper throttle control unlike most powerful drift cars, so I reckon, esp with 600lbft+, it's going to drift amazingly well and a dream to drive. It will be like an AE86, just much much faster.
Thanks everyone! I've had an extremely intense couple of months. I thought I would finally get some sleep last night after we delivered the car to Autosport. It turns out my brain still thinks that there's loads to do so I'm not allowed to sleep . I had to remind myself what this car was like when I first bought it, rusty as fuck, and horrible panda paint. It's just slightly different now. The plate is still really confusing to me. I guess the DVLA must have made a mistake when it was registered, and used the year of import for the reg rather than the year of manufacture. I need an awesome plate number plate as it will be road registered. I've already found out that it has to be pre 86 rather than pre L reg. Also, someone made this which made me laugh given the overwhelming positive response we've had
haha that asian video! better than the build itself! seriously tho, you guys done amazing job on it, well done to all involved!
Pants pissed - - - Updated - - - Proportions of it have come out bob on. Can't wait to see it on a 'grip' track day soon
Just when I thought there wasn't any better looking Drift car than the driftworks S15 this is pure awesome!
I'm a Ford man through and through but I gotta give it to you Phil... this has to be one of the most awesome builds ever.
Thanks for all the positive posts guys )) , it's been a long hard build but enjoyed doing it ( maybe not the weeks of sanding and grinding at the start ) but to end up with such a fantastic car makes it all worth the time and effort . Building a car from scratch is hard but having the owner knowing exactly what he wants and excepting nothing less makes for a good car , it also helps if they know what it needs to be in the first place !!
So went to autosport international today and got to see this little beauty. The width of it is unreal and the workmanship and little touches are brilliant. Well worth going to see for this alone and I can't wait to see (and hear) it used in anger
It's.... beautiful. I've been following this for about a year now, and its awesome to see it come to fruition. Any chance those fenders will be reproduced?
