FD, FC Boffins

    I know frig all about rx7s, I know they have the apex seal problems and the whole rebuild thing which is expensive but apart from that do they suffer much else?

    I've noticed most people seem to use large turbos but run low boost? Whys this do they not like the temperature? I know the spool is awesome due to the amount of flow.

    Do they get temperature problems? Why everyone runs V mounts?

    And I gather they don't like to be sat or used for small trips, need to be ragged once and a while because of carbon build up?

    What are the gearboxs like are these all stock boxes running like 5-600bhp?

    They can suffer from water seal failure but that should be a pretty obvious problem
    As for gearboxes my s5 fc turbo boxes have never blown up as such but I have found that the shifter mechanism seems too go loose like your stirring soup
    As for big turbos I really can't help I'm still running the stock turbo

    so is the fc box not the same as the fd?

    No but I may clutch kick my car hard but it's only 260hp
