Hey chidley, really liking your 4 door R32 and what you've done so far. Im hoping to get one, one day maybe. Is it an Ironing board for the boot lid? Keeping an eye on it
Liking the new kit! I think mine is going to stay stock looking for a while. Only issue I'm finding with my 32 4 door is that it seems to be the beginners spec skyline with none of the good skyline stuff on it, Will need to do a 5 stud conversion and maybe switch my s13 brakes to skyline ones >_> Interested to see how much power your 20 will make with that new turbo!
Yeah I think all 4dr's came in auto 4stud some n/a some turbo. Two ways to switch to 5 stud, first is to put r33 front stub axles/hubs on, then pretty much any sbody/z32/skyline rears stub axles/hubs. Second is to convert to s14 front hubs, lower arms, rack and suspension, using s14 metal top mounts welded into the r32 chassis like Driftworks did on there r32, major job but more lock possibilities Brakes can use either r33, z32 or stick to s13 and redrilled discs, then you keep the decent cable handbrake. So yeah lol
so.. went Teeside New Years Eve Drift.. AMAZING DAY this was one of my first runs.. (sorry about facebook links, dunno how to rob videos from FB) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10153686943885331&set=vb.849980330&type=2&theater these were my entry's.. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10153715591470707&set=vb.525440706&type=2&theater and this is how the car looked spoiler on the piss a little, fitted in 4 minutes flat did this on something.. somehow.. at some point? gram pic of half the team..
other thing worth mentioning is, come lunchtime my PAS decided to spring a leak.. couldnt quite figure out where exactly it was coming from, stripped it all down and no splits in pipes.. so i patched it together as best as i could and it seemed to hold fluid so i carried on.. until i parked it up RIGHT AT THE END OF THE DAY.. and it pissed it all out completely. being NYE, and 4hours from home, I couldnt be arsed to actually figure it out, so i thru caution to the wind and drove it home.. stripped it all back down yesterday and found this.. so this was removed.. and the car now sits like this
so today i went at removed the snapped exhaust studs out the new engine, which involved a lot of drilling, and then a torqx head socket smashing into what remained to ratchet it out.. this is what i was left with. on the plus side the engine now looks like this obviously i didnt have any spare nissan studs so i just used any bolt with the right thread to put in instead s'all goooood
some decals on... and collected the refurbed clutch, supposed to be rated to 440-460hp now, so plenty for what i want/need
quick update, as usual, went to a Flatout Factory day where i participated in taking passengers out for a few laps... good day, managed to somehow knock my rear bumper without realising... which resulted in me dragging it round the track for a few laps and now looks like this: also bought a pair of those advans in the background off a gent on here for a good price and i bought a set of new 18" road wheels.. will be revealed soon.. AAAAAAAAAAAAND i attended a photoshoot that a local photographer wanted me to come to.. and thats all for now
saw the interior photo in FB last night, knew it was yours straight away, looks amazing mate! looks like its getting used well!! haha
cheers bruce, its up for sale at the minute.. but im only advertising it for a certain amount of time, finances need sorting out but not desperate so if it sells then happy days but if it doesnt then ill carry on the rb build will probably be sold though
